Both Briggs and Confor get a +5 for Persuasion. If someone could provide a Help action, it would improve our odds of 'negotiating' with Captain Rockbasher.
Assuming the captain can take us to the location, we won't need the four NPC pirates, unless Rockbasher needs the crewmen for his ship.

Sorry, I can't think about anything helpful that Cha-kra would do in the act of persuading. Unless blankly asking if the captain is still willing to sell his services is considered helpful. I had imagined that Cha-kra would have naturally preferred to let the humans do the talking so that he doesn't have to, but if you think it will help I can make a post where he crudely makes an entrance on the ship.
About the four pirates, I wouldn't say that there's no need to take them on. There are so many useful things you can do with extra hands that you don't actually care for if they survive. I'm rarely in the situation to RP being okay to use people as fodder (or to use them more wisely if we can get creative with using them to our advantage), but with Cha-kra I can genuinely claim that he doesn't care whatever happens with them. If he thought the other adventures wouldn't raise a fuss over it, he'd at the worst assume that they are self-transporting extra rations. But with how little I allow Cha-kra to care about social grace, he at least understands that it's not in his own interest to eat people while he lives in Westhaven. So don't even worry about bringing that up IC.

Arrogaio is happy to help with Rockabasher.
He'll be even less interested in cannibalism than theft. |

It's not going to come up. While utterly amoral, Cha-kra understands where the line is. He's usually pretty upstanding and integrated enough to keep out of trouble.

All right, you talked me into it. Four red shirts added to the landing party!

@secretID:
Unfortunately I can't watch that from my location, or so the website says.

Okay, Confor will attempt Persuasion with Rockbasher under the assumption that Snapkick will use a help action. you can build him up if you want or just express confidence in him.

Oh! Sorry, I hadn't read this and had already written a brief post to start the scene. Had I thought that there was someone else planning to post I would have waited! Hopefully this doesn't complicate matters too much, I'm sure the captain didn't expect the insect to actually know how to behave properly.
