I've been avoiding reading the others' dialogue, and now I see that it looks like there's fighting just several feet from the door to the room Bill's in with Ektrae - do I have that right? Bill would presumably hear this commotion as soon as he opens the door, if not sooner?

Mmm, about 70 feet of echoing hallway including a corner, but Bill would certainly be able to hear Gratch howling at least.
