General Sports Discussion (Be Warned!)

I figured to follow the trend of the General topics and the next most debated topic besides Religion and Politics would have to be sports. This thread is to discuss your favorite teams of any sport you want to.

I will start us of with 3 simple words


LETS GO HEELS!!!!!

What about that Carolina/Duke game Saturday night? I look forward to every meeting of these two teams because they are always epic games. They rise to a whole different level. It was great just to sit there with my fiancée, who happens to be a Duke fan, and watch the game and then rub it in her face later on. I don’t know how many people actually get the Duke/Carolina rivalry, but if you live in NC you know it. I am sure LivO could agree that it’s a big rivalry. I cannot wait until they meet at the end of the AAC tournament.

That’s was my little rant for now. More to come later.

I used to play soccer, but I would rather watch football as in NFL instead of soccer. Now I do enjoy hockey and the Carolina Huricans are doing a great job this year.

Paintball is a great sport too. Its just to much money for me to play. But you cannot get any better then shooting at people with paint.

Anyway, spring training is under way. The baseball season is right around the corner. Ah, baseball...

Baseball, is by fat the most boring sport, ever.
Unless your playing, then its not quite the MOST boring, but its still really high up there.

As for UNC/Duke. Yeah, Tyler Hansbrough is good. And was it just me or did Vitale and who ever else it was announcing that game totally root for Duke. Duke would hit a 3 and they'd go crazy, "HE NAILED IT BABY!! THEY'RE ON FIRE!! DUKIES BABY!! UNC hits one, and it's "North Carolina with a three point shot."

How about the WBC, World Baseball Classic? I think it's a good thought, just isn't really going to go over that well.

And yeah, if you sit down, turn on the tube and a baseball game is on, chances are you will get bored watching it. But if you specifically pick a game to watch, I.E. Yanks-Sawx, or,for me, any big Braves game, then it's exciting.

Football is boring, and so is baseball, tenis etc.

Dharkan: I really want to try paintball. It looks really cool, and I agree that legally shooting people can be fun. The problem is that it is just too expensive. Oh well, I just have to wait I guess...

Well, if you guys on that island of yours looked to the rest of the world you'd see that soccer is the biggest sport around.. And growing... It's so simple that everybody understands it, and it can be played almost everywhere with it's many variants...

I still prefer baseball though, but it's just my kinda sport.. (and I suck kicking a ball)
