My expectations are tempered. If we can win the division we’ll have already made it further through the playoffs than last year

It most certainly won’t be a feast, but I still see the eagles with the potential to grind out one win against any team in the league. Even if they made it to the Super Bowl I wonder if Hurt’s nerves won’t get the best of him.

Honestly, I see the Eagles getting the Bye, and hosting... It's possible that the Vikings could, but they have had the advantage of weak teams too, so... beating the Bills was awesome, and a real statement for them. Let's see if they can continue beating in the tough games, and if so... they might give the Eagles a run for the bye. They'd have to be perfect in closing out the season, 'cause I don't see the Eagles with more than 1 loss, maybe two (like you said, the week 18 game might be a second string starter experience, if you are at 1 loss and have locked up the bye week).

We definitely got off easy in our first game against the Vikings.

There’s also the possibility we take an unfortunate loss and tailspin for a few games. There’s a good mix of young talent and senior all star mentorship, so I’d have to say the eagles are playing strong mentally. They haven’t really faced adversity either. Hurt’s mother and sister were in the crowd for the game against Texas and I’d have to say it wasn’t his best performance.

Either way I’m happy to have an interest in the playoffs this year.

Green Bay’s win this week also made it easier to accept the dirty feeling of cheering for Dallas next week too. I’d be satisfied with settling for the division win if the Vikings took the conference if that somehow blocked the cowboys from making the playoffs.

As a side note I can’t figure out why my brain is unable to settle on a city/team designation when forming sentences. The effort to edit for consistency would break me.

I took way too much pleasure in Dallas' OT loss to Green Bay. The universe elected to punish me for that. I have learned nothing.
