That's alright.

Hm, so 1 on Will. The difficulty to beat was 2. You could invoke an aspect for a Fate point and beat that, but I'd be careful about burning through your points too quickly - you could end up out of points when bigger confrontations kick off.

As an alternative option, you may instead elect to suceed at a major cost. The Fate rules give this as a choice that can be made when facing failure. In this case, it means that you automatically win with what you're mentally resisting against, but you'll get a consequence. This means one of your consequences will be filled with a bad aspect (e.g. 'piercing headache') that your enemies can invoke against you in their moves. In fact, they'll get a free use of it in the near future for a +2 against you. The consequence can be cleared later, but it takes time.

Whichever you choose is up to you, just wanted to make sure you knew that there's choices available to you.

So before we continue, we do seem to be running into a consistent metaphorical brick wall in terms of progressing the scene. No one's singular fault here, but it's hard to enjoy a game if you frequently feel like you don't know what to do. So let's clear the air about it.

What is it about the game that's leaving you little to work with? Is it the unfamiliarity of the Fate system itself? The type of detail in the posts isn't something you'd typically work with? The story's not working for you? No wrong answers, I just want to work out the hiccups.

Well partially with the system. It seems like each time its my turn, I HAVE to do something like roll a die but im feelling like im also doing it wrong..

Ah, okay. You don't strictly have to roll every time. As you're learning the system, I've been pushing it a little more than usual because as a 'learn by doing' approach - so you can see what skill checks and their results look like, as the outcomes can be more nuanced than rolls from a system like D&D. But don't feel that you have to cram an action into a specific move every time. If a roll is required anyway, I'd ask for it. Just RP as you normally would and roll if it occurs to you that you're challenging a particular skill, or using it directly (e.g. Fight).

And yes, it's okay that you're busy. There's no timeframe for posting and I'm not about to start badgering you when real life needs to take priority. I only asked because we've had the 'unsure what to do' bump a couple of times and I wanted to see if we could talk it out to make future posts a little smoother.
