The captain reads the letter for a minute, and looks over the seal at the bottom. You get the feeling he's having trouble with the fluid, cursive writing, but it sure looks official enough! "Alright then, you're free to go, but if you don't mind we'll be taking those birds I can hear still squawking below decks." The sound seems obvious to you now that its been drawn attention to, otherwise you were just filtering it out the same as during combat.
"Head home, you've done well for the whole district tonight, not just Lady Laviana." says the captain with a smile. "We'll keep an eye on the ship for you tonight, and get those animals moved offboard. We'll even clean the mess up, I owe the Lady's father a favour." He nudges one of the guards with him, and nods towards Boar's prone form. "Give them your salts." The younger of the two with the captain throws a small vial at Hubris, and the wizard catches it easily, looking at the milky contents within. "Just wave em under his nose, that stink'll wake up even a dwarf of Boar's caliber." So in your possession you have both Laviana's ring, and the stolen money, that's more than she asked of you, a job very well done...even if her ship is a bit of a mess. It'll take them at least till morning to move the remaining animals off the ship, and most the day to dispose of the bodies and scrub the floors. You might want to warn Laviana not to visit her ship for at least a day, besides she needs to pay her fine to harbourmaster first anyway. |

Nodding to the guards, a smile comes over Kevots angular features, "Thankyou... Hubris it seems you've the honor of awaking our friend, and I hope you do so soon.. I long for solid ground beneath my feet and my dog at my side.." with that the Half-Elf begins to move for their row-boat. "The Lady shall be pleased." He thought, "even if it had come to violance."

Double-checking to make sure everything is secure on his person, Regda disappears back into the folds of his cloak. He nods towards the guard, giving a slight bow. "Thank you for your understanding, sir." He turns and nudges Herb "Lets return the money, before some other brute decides to take it for himself. Its a lot of money to be carrying around"

The strange contents of the vial seem milky and foul as he takes the top off of it, and waves the vial under the little snoring dwarven man. Looking at the others he says, "Well I suppose we can head straight to the Lady now. Once he's awake and stable that is." nodding down at Boar.

Herb nods in agreement, slightly more at ease now but hands still on his rapiers, with his eyes still on the guards he leans down and picks up the bag of money, flinging it down into the rowboat he waits for everyone to get in before rowing it and everyone back to land.

Shocked awake by a powerful stench he can't ignore even through unconsciousness, Boar groans, and picks himself up off the deck, wincing at the pain his wounds cause him as he does, standing unsteadily on his feet. Quietly nodding to the wizard, the berserker retrieves his dropped equipment, and wearily follows the others.

"Take it easy Boar, your wounds are bound together by my hands. And in all humility I am no combat medic." he warns the now awake dwarf.
"Do not be alarmed the Guard is above deck, they have verified our legal right to our actions. At least I don't think any charges will be filled by the men that fled." His attempt at humor falling short, Hubris grabs his equipment and staff and follows the others into the rowboat. Seeing Kevots hound on the docks ahead, he points at the beast and nudges Kevot. "Could have used him to run down those that fled, to bad we were not on land." |

Raising a brow Kevo looks aside at Hubris, "Not an hour a go you where nearly in tears because we fought in self-defense... You dont need to try and play it off, Hubris.." Kevots tone is not a condescending one, purely neutral with an expression to match, in fact he seems more tired than anything and it reflects in his face.

Boar blinks looking at his injured, and cared for, shoulder and chest. He's no fool, despite appearances, and easily recognizes the potentially fatal wounds. With but a quick glance at the now-dead smuggler who buried a dagger in his chest for closure, Boar speaks up, his words even slower to come than normal. "No shame..." He grunts in pain as he takes a step wrong, bracing himself against the wall. "...in peace..." An interesting comment from a man who has spent the last several years making a living off of killing things.

The group take one of the ferries back to the Noble's District, though they need to wait nearly half an hour for it, due to less services at night. Herb keeps a tight hold on the bag at all times, as the ferrymaster keeps eying it off greedily, but nothing comes of it. A short walk from there brings you back to the Vanderboren household, and Kora lets you in with a smile, leading you to a small sitting room, and lights a couple of lamps, promising to be back with tea shortly. Laviana enters the room shortly after, still wearing the same dress and makeup as the day, but she looks very tired, probably been up looking over all the fees and lose ends she has to tie up. Her smile at the five (again, Toki is made to wait outside the house. But Kora brings him scraps from dinner) of you is radiant none the less, and she asks excitedly. "What happened?"

Simply after bowing his head in respect to the lady, Kevot explains, "We went aboard the ship in peace as you asked My Lady informing Soller of our intent... Soller ordered us dead, they did not succeed and though Boar suffered grave injuries at the hands of one the exotic animals he was smuggling aboard the ship the the only casualties where on Sollers side... Herb has your ring, and presumeably the money Soller was hiding from you." Kevot doesn't spare the Pirate a glance, his golden eyes intent on the groups patron and his charge.

"Ahm still in one piece." Boar retorts quietly, still looking somewhat pale and drained. He is distracted, even moreso than one would expect from someone who was very nearly gutted like a fish. "...Mostly."

Herb lets the bag of money go a few inches above on of the side tables so everyone can hear its full of money, "It looks a little less than your fee, maybe they spent some of it drinking and such, but most of it is there." he then slips his hand inside his shirt, producing a piece of paper and a ring. "Here is your ring, would you please also take a look at this note for me?" Herb walks over and stands beside Laviana.
