MapForge has finally been released and I now believe it was a scam. It is nothing like advertised even after being way over funded. Useless and non-functional. I hope no one else invested in them. I was following the project loosely, played around with some of the beta downloads, but it seemed pretty slow and clunky. Figured it was a ways away from actual release.
That's sad news.

It is out of Beta and still sad. They were way over funded and then did another campaign with a different service - red flag right there. Too many issues to mention and I was really hopeful.
I looked at D20Pro and RPTools - they do way more than I want and the learning curve is too steep. I am currently looking at Dungeon Painter (Steam) so we will see.

As a note, for anyone looking for mapping software, as of this post Profantasy is offering their stuff on Humblebundle. You can get like, $300 worth of their software for $30 or so.

I just wanted to point out that my first read of the name Profantasy came out Profanity. But if it's good it shouldn't matter what you call it
