Figured I should mention, that in three weeks I'll be going on vacation so if I do join Outplay, it will only be until then.

Yes, while we would love to cater to more (and more varied) rulesets in Outplay, we really only manage to get the necessary people involved with popular favorites. As Imveros has shown, it's entirely possible to motivate a group who enjoy their ruleset to consider playing and vote something into possibility. Maybe that's a signal that some of the other systems that people enjoy should try and put their heads together and do something similar if they'd like to see additional systems running during Outplay.

Outplay will begin in June, and run through August. As we've said in here and elsewhere, if we don't get a GM, a couple judges, and enough people to run the bracket, the system won't run, no matter how popular it is here.

Yeah I don't have the energy to do it this year, but maybe do a challenge game. Unknown what game, the DMs and three judges pick a more obscure system and players have to see how well they adapt to a new rulebook.

Uh... no. It's hard enough work building a game that works for multiple and often very different systems. We're not going to double the workload and work in something strange just to change it up.

Unless things drastically change, I think we are running D&D and Shadowrun 5Es this year.

I was actually a bit worried that you'd only do one or the other, and there'd be a lot of really disappointed folk out there.

Running both sounds brilliant!

We used to run four brackets simultaneously when we had the people to do it. Running two is not a problem.

Going to support my boy Imveros and suggest Shadowrun 5th Ed.

I would like to state that I usually go for Pathfinder 1st Ed. normally.

If you feel you have the time to commit to it, definitely give it a go!

Sounds exciting, I'll definitely try to apply for D&D 5e, and if not I'll look forward to watching from the stands! seems like a fun community building activity to distract us from the imminent fall of mankind
