Not really - i just tend to use my own system, after completing a set amount of jobs the players get a +1 CHA modifier when dealing with said faction.
If you work against a faction the players get -1 CHA. Simple but it works. The bigger/More difficult/rewarding the task, the higher DC check against CHA to be offered that job.

Hell's Vengeance adventure path has a "rebellion tracker" on pg 27 that could be used as a basis.
Cyberpunk Red has a Reputation system. You could also adapt the L5R system for Honor as reputation instead. -me

Thanks for the input. I'm looking at it for Traveller, and I guess I could use MGT2e's Affinity/Enmity system for Allies/Enemies (Companion book). That kind of aligns with what you've both suggested. But I hadn't considered general reputation (how generally legendary a character might be), which Cyberpunk Red addresses.

Can you describe in a bit more detail setting you are using this for? Is a traditional traveller (OTU)... Factions would be used on a Planet scope, or at a "Imperium" scope? Here is an interesting "low prep" article on factions in a traveller ruleset. Maybe that would help you think through some of what you are working on. Regardless, I think there are models for this you can use easily. Based on your short blub above, I think you might really need something different that a full Faction system. Perhaps you are thinking of a Reputation characteristic (with a DM) that could be modified based on a factions relationship circles. Something like that would be easy to set up and run. If you take that approach, be sure to set up a clear line in your head as to how SOC and REP are delineated. Have fun with that... sounds very interesting!

The idea hasn't finished steeping yet, but I think it's going to end up being a casual sort of campaign. Small adventures. But I'd like player choices to matter with relationships.
"I know a guy" is built into Mongoose 2e with the allies/enemies you might acquire during chargen. I guess I'm looking to extend that functionality. Maybe you get bonuses when dealing with a group that values you. Or the inverse, should you fall into disfavor. Or perhaps the mission you run for one group puts you in disfavor for another group. "You come highly recommended. Perhaps even enough so for us to forgive the incident on Takahira ..."
