Having shook hands in agreement of their deal, Tayrren nodded to Alain and made his way back to the secretaries desk. "Madam, I believe we have some paperwork to attend to," he addressed the woman with as radiant of a smile as he could manage and a slight bow of his head.

The secretary smiled at him, and indicated the forms in front of her. "If you'll just sign here and here...".
------------------------------------------------- Between meetings, research, and general poking around, it's dinner before the group manages to get back together at their inn. They were served a hearty meal of pork with vegetables, with plenty of bread and beer to wash everything down. They also got an opportunity to compare notes and plan after the days events. "Thank you, but if you don't mind I'd just like to review these documents before signing them. We don't want another mishap in contract like that first performance. Right, Alain," he queried with a slight grin. "Might I take these with me tonight and return with them in the morning, or if the Mayor joins us tonight I can give them to him at that time as well."
------- They headed back to the inn in silence, not seeming to have anything to share for the time being but knowing there were still a lot of questions to be answered. When they met up with Mikayla and Iyani again it was about time for dinner which reminded Tayrren he was quite famished at this point. Between bites of the delicious food and the gulps of water to wash it all down, he and Alain relayed everything they had learned from the Mayor and secretary that day. As the meal ended and plates were taken away, Tayrren turned the conversation toward the women, "What did you two learn today? Did you have a chance to explore the town?" Seeing that the others we still ravishing their food, Tayrren just smiled as he said, "Well, I suppose I can let you finish your meal before delving into details. I told the mayor he should join us tonight so that he might meet the rest of the group though he did not confirm one way or the other yet."
"I did manage to get us a venue to play at though, typical contract, we just have to give ten percent to the town for allowing us to do so. Our performance night is for days from now, or two days before the vote. That should give us plenty of time to prepare and get the word out."

"Mostly ah spent mah time in tha library. It was a genuine marvel to behold and ta wander in. Thar were jus so many books, hundreds and hundreds of em just sittin there fer anyone who wanted ta read 'em. Ain't never seen so many books in mah life"
Mikayla sighs lightly and then adds, "So much ta learn and so little time ta jus sit back and do it. Ah ken help with yer show though make some nice effects agin." The young smith finishes speaking and digs into her food with a complete lack of grace or elegance.

Iyani entered with Mikayla, Indeed the library was fairly nice. I was able to find an old tale about the item we found earlier. But alas, it is still a black box. It referred to a single ancient Azlanti name, Carcis. Ever hear of it? She looks over at the other two.
