Her eye's slowly looked down away from his, clearly filled with pain. Soap opera that first night The angelkin lord finds himself in the truly surreal position of watching the formerly fearsome, intimidating dragonness now crying like a heartbroken maiden. Though, he supposes, she could be both. Regardless, he weathers poorly the famed foe of gallant men everywhere, a lady's tears. "Hey now, you stop that. Don't you know I spent our night's quota of tears already?" he chides with a reassuring smile. He brings his right hand up from her waist to cup her chin. Lifting her eyes back up to his, he searches her orbs, rather than simply getting lost within, his thumb absently caressing her jaw. After another tense moment, his lips part for a final whispered caution: "Take care what you seek of me, Aira Ru." And Louis descends his lips tenderly on hers.

soap opera 101 Aira lets out a small muffle as their lips touch, Mmm... a wave of feelings wash over her and wipe away any doubts she may have had as she melts into his embrace. She does not force anything further, but shares the look and feeling that it is ok to carry things farther if he wished it. If she could stop time, right now would be that moment. Something to cherish for all eternity. Smiling she looks him in the eye again, after she recovers. So what's that supposed to mean? Do you think I would not care for it? I will care for all eternity and beyond.

Soap opera 101 He brings his other hand up her back to support the seeming delicate beauty and draw her still closer as she makes known her relishing. He feels the protest of his still tingling lips when they finally part from hers, and his overwhelmed senses have their fill trying to restore some order to his breathy exhaling without descending to drink more of their mutual enjoyment. The contrast between fierce dragon and the warm, inviting lady remains no less surreal, though perhaps more endearing now. His senses are his own again before he attempts an answer: "I mean that my world is complicated, Aira, because my life is not my own. Even less so if the heavens favor me with the crown. It is not only a caution in battle, but also in matters of the heart. I needn't much to see in your eyes that you'd like much more than that one kiss. But depending on what more that is, it may not be mine to give." Brushing a lock of her hair gently from her face, "I don't want you hurt by this, Aira ... says the mortal knight to the imposing dragon ... though the sentiment is no less real."

I want to make one thing clear. I do not wish the throne. I seek to defend our lands from evil and tyranny.
