[Game Thread] Unfortunate Implications

[Moridain]

"S-so those people will be okay then..? They didn't get hurt by the icey stuff..?" Sadies tremous voice asks, hope in her mind burning away some of the hard lump that had been in her heart since the horrible incident earlier. She had felt so guilty and bad about all those poor poor people, somehow feeling like she should have been one of them and by not being she was at fault.

[Elucidus]

"So this is some form of rebellion?" Threnody asks, a bit confused.

[Cash]

Wait you dont expect to go stright for the king though do you? The thought enters Marros head of them going for the king right now and getting slaughtered. it is a thought that causes his to shiver. We have some nice tricks but we cant kill a man let alone a king with petty tricks

They will be unharmed, for now.

Threnody: You feel a pulse of anger and indignation at your question. Nature does not answer to mortal kings. One fleeting flicker versus all of creation? Foolish.

Marros: You are not alone. Seek those of like mind, to help peel away protection. All things wear down in time.

[Moridain]

"B-but we are just kids. Why pick us?" she looks less scared now that she knows the people will be okay, so far noone has been harmed then, if this thing is telling the truth. Perhaps they could even talk it out of killing the king? Killing is bad after all, maybe they could just tell the king he needs to stop being naughty?

"I'm guessing that no one would suspect a bunch of kids of being assassins of the king, Sadie," Matthias replies with a frown. "Look, you've had our attention with the whole good of nature vs the kingdom. But we've got nothing about who you are or where you come from. Regi- ...regicize...regicite, killing the king is a big deal, & we're going to need something better than 'I speak for the trees'." Matthias then realized something the voice said; it did not help his opinion of it at all. "What do you mean 'unharmed for now'?" the lad asks with equal indignation.

[Elucidus]

Threnody gets a little angry herself and stamps her foot, but she quiets herself so as not to offend this thing again.

"I am just a girl!" slips out of her mouth still.

[Cash]

Like mind? Marros as, confusion in his voice Like mind as in us, or as in the king?

In the sense that all things will experience harm. This was not such an event. The voice shifts and tosses a bit, incomprehensibly. You lack encouragement. Knowledge will be found, that may provide what you seek. You're struck with another flash of images, shooting through the town you're in. The market. The airship docks. A pub, a club, a gathering place. Some crates in the back. A hidden switch. A gathering of people.

You're suddenly pulled back out the way you came in your vision, though you catch a glimpse of the name of the tavern: The Dockside Glug. There exists those who might help you more directly.

The robed lad shakes his head of the reeling feeling left by the vision. Enigmatic as the voice was & for all his bluster, Matthias wasn't convinced that the voice was malicious; then again, nor was he particularly fond of it at the moment. However, the vision of this tavern seemed to hold promise to answer questions & settle doubts. He turns to his friends: "Alright, this Dockside Glug place looks like it may help some of this make sense. I say we go investigate. Are you with me?" raising his fist in a gesture meant to look inspiring but ending up more cute on the young robed lad.

dockside glub I wonder if the people there will actually accept us. Marros trys to remember the way to the pub the cousins showed. Placing each step into his mind. opening his eyes to see Matthias raise his fist. Gunho? Marros cannot stop himself from chuckling alittle as he puts his hand in the air. So we a team now or what

[Moridain]

Sadie frowns, not quite understanding still. The general idea though was that the people in this 'Dockside Glug' will have information that might make them do this horrable thing, and then perhaps be willing to help them pull it off.

It sounds scary, but she can't go home till she finds out what is happening. She doesn't want to get her family in trouble.

At Matthias' statement though she perks up a little, at least she isn't alone. "W-we are a team?" She asks, hopefully.

[Fragmaster01]

As you open your eyes, you're pulled back out of the vision. You're you again! In a little pub. Without food. This is very distressing, but slightly overshadowed by the fact that you supposedly have work to do.

[Elucidus]

"Yeah, I suppose it is time to get moving." Threnody is pushed by an urge to get something done, though she doesn't know exactly what that may be.

[Moridain]

Sadie returns as well, with a jolt. She looks around, still lonely and less than happy but somehow less... fragile than she had been. The idea that they were going to adults who would help them, teach them why they are doing what they are, helped somehow.

The only reason she wasn't running home already was the fear that doing so would get them in terrible trouble, and that the King really might need to be gotten rid of. She still didn't think they should be the ones doing it, but she was willing to wait till she knew at least a little more before deciding anything.

The bigger kids with her seemed a bit more steady, so she will follow along with them. Her new magic would probably be helpful as well, might make her useful to these people. That was a new feeling for her, being useful; she was an ornament of the household, a thing to be taught and shown off and taken care of. Oh, she was loved, and loved her family back, but she wasn't 'useful'.

She found she liked the idea quite a bit.

A tremulous nod of her head to Threnody is all she actually says though, and then she stands, by herself for now. Her rat friend pops out from under her hair and gives her a brisk facerub with its side. It knows her well enough to understand much of her feelings, and what she is thinking, and it was clearly proud of her.

Beaming widely at him she leans her cheek down to give it a mouse hug. The smile completely changes her appearance. From a sad little waif, desperately in need of assistance, she is a radiant thing, almost too attractive with her pale and perfect skin and raven black hair, and her purple eyes.

"Lets go." she says, only a little shakily, eager now.
