Amongst the kobolds, the reds are considered to be the elite heroes and a dynamic example of their race perfected. While some clans boast to have green scales in their clutches, the greens often find themselves on the fringes of the kobold society. Green scales often take positions as scouts, rangers, thieves, or trackers to justify their detachment from other kobolds. While green kobold clans are whispered to exist, their purpose is a mystery. The white scales are the only clan of kobolds that can “convert” another kobold to their own clan. Through a lengthy process and ritual magic, the clerics of the white scale can change any other kobold into a white scale kobold. This process takes several months, but in the end the kobold gains all ability boosts and powers of the white scales while losing those from their previous clan. Only a few pure white scales are known to exist. These “Pure Whites”, as they are called, are often trained from a clutchling within the church and are greatly revered as the chosen of the aspects.
