This is what happens to 90% of games. DM disappears or player atrophy causes game collapse. If anyone needs someone for a game and doesn't want to deal with filtering through apps, send me a PM.

Wow, 90% is pretty steep. Didn't know it was that bad. I am looking for more players for my Anima RPG game, but it's a non-supported system, so no worries if your not interested. It's also a bit slow-paced, one because it's rp heavy at the moment, and two because the players themselves are mostly slower posters. I do have games planned for the future, so look forward to that pm someday

Looks like this RP is dead, MjkTheatre hasn't been online in 11 days, and hasn't posted in alot longer than that. Does someone want to put in a DM rescue request or should I?

If enough of us are interested in continuing, I'll go ahead and submit the request, so let me know here if you all are interested.

Sure, why not. I've only fought to replace a DM once, and that was with a DM who was active but gave up. The game died a few weeks later anyway. Still, doesn't hurt to try if you're willing to put in the footwork.

Hearty greetings, all.
Having recently acquired this adventure path alongside a nice chunk of weekly free time, I had it in my head to propose running it here. Then I stumbled across the DM Rescue post and, having been a past victim (and occasional culprit, all cards on the table) of game evaporation, I thought I'd step up and make the offer to try and set things on the right track here. I am not entirely certain how one goes about adopting a game forum from an inactive GM on here so I'll need to investigate that. In the meantime, if you are still interested in sailing the seas of blood and slaughter, we can go over some stuff. I've reviewed your characters and your backgrounds and I think the group is pretty solid. Lots of good piratical flavor to been found. I can't access Khodexus' sheet but a stormwrack wizard is pretty much spot on for this type of thing. There are a few things I would want to do differently than MJ, though. First, I would be using Hero Points if I ran this. I am a fan of this type of system (drama dice, fate chips, et al) and I think it will give everyone a nice buffer in the path's more challenging encounters. That's the biggest thing, and I think the only real mechanical adjustment. Other issues, like the fact that bold text for speech in lieu of individual colors drives me a bit batty, are all fluff adjustments. Also, I'd need to bring in another player who I had promised to include if I ran this. They're solid, consistent and easy to game with. What with attrition rates being what they are in PbP games I think it'll end up helping out with the inevitable drop due to life issues. It's worth noting, as I don't think MJ pointed out, that the structure of this adventure path (particularly in the first leg of book 1) is pretty player-driven and involves you guys making use of your time on the ship as you feel is appropriate. I think the group has the kind of drive and motivation to grab those reins and run but it'll demand some pretty consistent posting. I usually strive for a DM post every 48 hours, with a 24 hour leeway, and I don't ask my players to commit more than I do. That is a maximum 72 hour gap between story-advancing posts and I try to drop smaller, communication based stuff in daily to keep people talking. Longer than that without a word is a definite point of concern for me but I usually give people the benefit of the doubt unless they fail to meet the 72 hour mark frequently. We all have lives that demand our attention. Any thoughts? I'd be happy to kick this thing off soon. We can continue on in the threads provided for a decent bit while I try to work out how to make the game my own.

A friend of mine provided a link for an info post regarding DM rescues, I'll see if I can relocate that and link it your way, PopCultureBard.
Also, I just gave you access permission to my character sheet, though once the campaign is transferred properly it's already registered with the Profiler Campaign ID (which should allow you to view the character sheet no problem). Only thing unusual you might need to know about my character build is that I've taken a couple of spells from the 3.5 Spell Compendium, and plan to take a few from the 3.5 Stormwrack book. And, let me be the first to say: Welcome Aboard!

I don't know if this is helpful at all, but when I rescued a campaign that I played in (The Goblin Threat), I was able to contact an admin directly and they transferred everything to me. That said, I'm not sure if that is the preferred method or not, just that it works. Otherwise, glad to hear we might have a DM again. Also happy to hear about the hero points thing, seeing as I originally wanted to base my character somewhat around them feat-wise

Thanks for the tip, Aerandor. I may end up going that route.
On that note, if anyone would like to adjust anything on their character sheets now would be the time. Feat swaps, skill point arrangement or ability exchanges are all fine. Just let me know what you've changed.
