"Ooh, a tunnel sounds interesting, let's go that way," Billy encouraged the others, pointing after his psicrystal. They may not have heard the telepathic report from the crystal, but that was enough information to work with, right? He didn't share the part about it being dark and creepy, they'd figure that out soon enough, and if their experience had anything to do with the natural order of things post-transformation, they could probably assume it was trouble just from the word 'tunnel'.

"Sure, lets follow a pet rock, what could go wrong? Everybody, after the fearless leader." Tasha marches along behind Billy, gesturing for the sphinx to follow.

You wander down the ravine a ways, then into a little culvert on the left. Indeed, it does seem to be a small cave of sorts, going under the walls for some considerable way(farther than you can see at your angle). It could stand to be a bit bigger. Billy and his Rock will have no trouble, but Saline and Tasha might find it a tight fit.

Looking into the Culvert she frowns a little. "I-I don't like going into such a tight fit. Still, I suppose we don't have much choice." taking a breath she steadies herself and is about to enter then... "Er..." she looks at Tasha "You first..."

"Um, I guess I could go by myself to check it out?" Billy offers, looking back from the opening. "Since it doesn't exactly, um... fit you?" He probably has his word choice screwed up, but that's all right. The idea is probably conveyed anyway.

Billy: You wander into the cave. Nice and roomy, though you see how such fatties like the pair behind you might balk at the prospect. It wiggles a little ways, before opening up into a larger room. Vaguely ovaloid, 30 in width and 20 in length. There's no proper floor in the place, as it jaggedly slopes down about five feet across the place. The floor is dry, thankfully, but the smooth stone of the ground doesn't hold traction as well as the dirt outside. There appears to be a larger tunnel leading onward at the end of the room, like a cave of sorts.
Your eyes, however, are drawn to the floating orb of blue light that gives pale illumination over the scene. Even taken in by the beautiful sights your spelunking has revealed, the meaning is obvious: someone cast a spell to light the way, and it certainly wasn't the monsters. Sphinx wanders in behind you, looking about. "Ooooh. Pretty. Never been down here before."

Billy nods silently, staring gape-mouthed at the ball of blue light. After a few moments when his brain catches up, he nods again. "It is pretty. It also shouldn't be here. Someone else must be up ahead, expecting to come back this way and need light."
He looks at the crystal, which is still rolling along the floor and flashing smiles at everyone each time the "face" side comes up. "You get to go in and keep looking." The crystal turns a darker color closer to gray than yellow, but Billy shakes his head at it and points at the far side of the cavern, reinforcing his point. The telepathic communication is apparently decided when the crystal turns a dark gray and rolls along the floor. It's hard to believe a piece of rock could sulk, but it's pretty clearly sulking.

Shash, feeling that he probably shouldn't be letting Billy do the exploring on his own (or with just a hungry sphinx for company), squeezes in to the cave behind him. He'd just thought that the ball of light was just a ball of light, but he supposes Billy makes sense that someone left it.
He moves past Billy to follow the strange crystal thing down the cave, fingering his axe as he goes- the last time he was underground, things didn't go so well.

Tasha grunts and squeezes into the hole. "Why do I feel like there's some kids story about a bear getting stuck in a hole that I don't remember?Hnnnnunnng."

Dice Escape Artist:
You squeeze into the cave. It's a nice place. You could take a great long nap here, and no one would be the wiser. Shash: The tunnel starts sloping down again, but this time it's not as nice with the slick surfaces. You'll need to tread carefully. Also, the light doesn't seem to spread very far from the first room, making it hard to see where you're going.

"It's dark and slippy down here, watch out." Shash continues down, trying to move carefully with his big bunny feet.

Saline: They are leaving you behind. Jerks! You feel dreadfully alone by the entrance to the cave.
Shash: The cavern widens out, and you hear sounds start to echo off the distant walls. Bits of rock that are kicked up by your feet clatter a long distance, suggesting that there's quite a ways down as well. Still, you lack any real source of light here, which is starting to get problematic. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Tasha claps her big bear paws together twice, causing her dapper hat to light up. "Miner hats, eat your crunchy yellow heart out." She walks on, some way behind Sash, looking out for anything interesting or potentially lethal.

Tasha's light hat helps Shash quite a bit in the vision department. He keeps moving onwards and downwards, moving carefully.
He's worried about slipping and falling. It has never occurred to him that caves could have traps.
