Just a quick note about my DM style.

I've never liked the DM vs Players mentality. I'm not out to kill you. However, there are creatures out there that will try to do just that. Intelligent creatures are going to act intelligent. There will be ambushes with high perception DC's because of terrain, stealth or distance.

Non-intelligent creatures will almost always fight to the death. If you find yourself in the deep, dark woods, there are creatures living there that can and will try to kill you.

Party seperation in the wild is ALWAYS a bad thing.

In short, Deepmar and Golarion is a dangerous place. Can you survive?

I love a good challenge and if there is a major threat to my character then it makes it all the more dramatic and involving. If the DM bails out the character in the last moment it kind of kills the fun.

If a character dies can the player make a new one to replace the old?

Greetings everyone, looking forward to the game! I'll have no trouble getting my character sheet up and running by Thursday.

On the house rules thread you have this:

13) Free cantrips:
Casters can use the following cantrips for free. They don't take up spell slots, you don't have to prepare them.
Dancing Lights
Light

Arcane Casters also get these:
Detect Magic
Read Magic

Do those count against the 'Spells Known' number for Bards and Sorcerers for example?

With all these casters and only a Monk and a Rogue as melee PCs, I have this itching feeling that Carson is somehow going to end up as the tank in this party... :P

A quick note about my playing style, I play extremely fun yet extremely intelligent characters.

The average human has a 13 int score, the world record holder for highest IQ has the equivilant of a 21.8, Finieous has a 22.

He also has a +19 to to knowledge arcana, +15 to engineering, dungeoneering, and the planes, +13 nobility and religion, and +12 to the rest..

Basically he can take 10 and know the answer to any question of a dc of 20 and some questions over 25 dcs

As that is I will be using every bit of knowledge and experience I personally have as a soldier in tactics, situational awareness, and guirilla warfare to combat said intelligent enemies. Having plenty of real life experience with convoys traveling through hostile territory should give us a very competitive edge.
