By the way, Gallopsmirror, you realize i just ate your monk with a giant worm right? You know to keep you from getting killed or worse,.. badly injured. I know it might not be obvious, but we don't exactly have a lot of healing resources. I mean you are probably are main source of healing with access to cure light wounds and all.

I've actually only ever played in PBP games with up to 4 players posting in a set initiative order, so a group of 6 players posting first come, first served will take some getting used to. I already like how it makes for a faster game. I'll be more careful going forward. It'll also be easier once I know more about your approach to playing Finieous (who looks like a really interesting character).

Oh he is, and no problem
![]() ![]() I will be editing that last post and getting rid of casting major image all together, no intelligable sounds and I just realized how loud a parrot is. I remeber I had a neighbor with a parrot once and it would keep us awake all night long. So I need to edit to have Rubik relay the instructions ![]()

Post edited, Rubik is relaying the instructions so everyone can definatly hear that ****
![]() Cast Phantasmil killer inster of major image, it is now trapped within its worse nightmares and faced down with a massive worm, Kuro I will take a DC 22 will and fort save vs death please. ![]() Ooh, and thanks, Finieous is a remake of the first pbp character i ever played Jamril the Magnificent and very interesting ![]() He found Rubik in a self sufficient cage that had him locked in a non aging stasis for several thousand years in some long lost ruins from an ancient technologically advanced culture that were wiped out in a war with the gods.

Question on that: Will save aside, do you think (not knowing Finieous and his capabilities) Tel Seng would automatically realize the worm is:
1) a spell (as opposed to real) 2) a spell cast by Finieous (as opposed to someone else) 3) meant for his benefit (as opposed to an intent to harm or distract him) 4) any combination of 1 or 2 of the above 5) any combination of all of the above ? My take: once the characters know each other well, there's not much chance for confusion. But this early on, I think there's loads of opportunity for confusion. Tel Seng has never seen powerful fey magic like this before. The gnomes in his homeland guard it jealously. So besides the Will save, there should be a high DC skill check for Tel Seng to figure out what's happening and play along with it.

Well eventually he will realize it is for his benifit, and if he makes the save and keeps hightelling it he will see the targets painted on its back and make the connection.
If he realizes it isn't real, he will know that it has to be magic, but there are multiple casters and one is not in the ao so who knows. who cast the spell? that it is there to help him? I don't know really, all he should know is that it's not real and that he shouldn't trust his eyes and ears. But after the battle the worm will totally bow to it's master before retreating beneath the ground. Or He will simply put it on a patrol arround the compound.

Will this work?
"Of course Master, " with a nod the parrot took off circling above the battlefield projecting his voice to it's maximum volume, "Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, you have your targets, focus only on your designated target and ignore all other sensations, Finieous will keep the targeting circles inline with the beast. Just another day at the archery range, Fire at Will. Who is will? I don't know but for now he's your target. Tel Seng, Either retreat to a defensible position or Hit the dirt. Ranged attacks incoming."

That'll work, but it's after the fact, so in fairness unless Tel Seng makes both the saving throw and skill check let's call it "fog of war" and play it as read starting from the next round. I'll do a Sense Motive check vs DC 30 in addition to the will save.
Will Save versus ?? Dice Roll:
Sense Motive versus DC 30 Dice Roll:

Let's take it to mean Tel Seng was surprised by the worm, and the warning about the worm arrived after he committed himself to the actions he already took. (I'm not sure Kuro would allow us to revise our actions in the game thread once they were posted anyway.)

Works for me. In a 6 second timeframe that doesn't effect me much.
