I mean that would work too, then afterwards replace the swift action silent image with a swift action major image and carry on his merry way ![]() I mean there are lot of ways to make this work with a guy who can maintain two illusion spells at once.

Object = scene
![]() meh, the object = scene approach depends on the dm running the game, although in all honesty in 14 years of playing and dming, I've never had a dm who actually had a problem with object equalling a scene as long as I described every detail ![]()

@Kurokuwashu: I was going to treat potions, extracts, and bombs as objects that I can draw from his cloak as a free action with another move action (like drawing a weapon). Everything in his sack would be considered a stored item and requires a full move action.
But then I thought I should ask your permission real quick before posting. Should I treat the potions and things in his cloak as a 'stored item' too? Thanks! EDIT: To save the game time I'll post it as a free action. If it is not allowed then I'll change the post, that might be more efficient for time. Last edited by PIG; Aug 13th, 2013 at 05:09 PM. |

As a note, the monk appears to be eaten by the worm itself, if he can't get out of the way in time, he has a 19 will save to realize it's not real. Once he recovers he could return to battle and confuse the hell out of apeman even more, I wouldn't I mean at this point I would be screaming for my life.

I love how the monk completely ignores the giant monstrosity that exploded from the ground arround his feet,. cool beans.
As a note to give an explanation of what I see an illusionist as, I see an illusionist as an artist and the illusion as a scene, when an artist begins a painting the image is not the tiger standing on his back paws in a pink tutu that is juggling babies in the air,,.. God I am so sorry, I have to say I have no control over where my imagination takes me at all, these images just come unbiden to my head and you can't unsee the image I just put in your head. It's good to know there is a rock bottom that I have now hit, no matter what I say I will never say anything as bad as the image i just created. It's comforting to know I cannot get any worse than that. Back to the topic at hand, the imaged is not the tiger, that is but 1 element of the scene, the image is the tree and moon in the background, it is the leaves blowing violently through the breeze it is the rabbit in the lime green suit at the bottom right hand of the canvas playing a fiddle. It is the baby that the tiger just dropped into a swarm of rats that is struggling with his last breath to avoid drowning in a sea of matted fur, claws, and teeth... Ok, no that is the worst thing I have ever said, it will not get any worse than that! God, I am going to hell. I have to believe that there is a special room in hell for people like myself, comedians, and artist.

Silent image can create more than a single image. Finieous can create an entire army of soldiers to march at their sides, the army is a force. That force is the image, each individual soldier within that force is a solitary element of the image. So saying it can only create a solitary image is kindof, well that's one I can't agree with on any level. As far as mirror image, meh mirror images are fixed duration copies of you that completely mimic you and are in now way actually being controlled by the illusionist. The cannot be moved they cannot changed or be controlled. That is a completely different thing than silent image and major image which changes to suit the will of the caster. They simply remain within 5 ft of you and copy your every move.

I hate to rain on your parade, but Major Image does not allow intelligible speech either.
The Pathfinder SRD Illusion page has this on the sidebar under Figment: Quote:
I was kind of disappointed in illusion spells when I realized this while researching it for a 3.5 character a while back. Looks like Pathfinder brought the rules in without any changes. So unless Kuro wants to let it roll, Finieous will have to rely on his cute pixie voice for the time being. |

The final say is up to Kuro of course, but even if it does only allow 'a single image', it seems like a gnome with an intellect beyond genius could get around that limitation in many circumstances. For instance, an illusory army of marching soldiers could be kicking up an illusory semi-transparent cloud of dust, which would unify them into a single image.
