Hey all.

I'm sorry about the delay but I've been sick this week and between the illness and the medicine I just haven't been able to piece together a proper response in either thread. I'll push things forward this weekend even if I have to do it in a drug addled haze.

I treated it as a fear effect. so I added Meia's Fearless and Zeff's Valiant Steed. I would consider fear to be mind effecting.

Though if I'm wrong... it will not change the out come of my rolls.

You are right to assume it was a fear effect and thus applicable to those traits.

I will endeavor to remember to point out the appropriate descriptors in the future.

I am going to be leaving on a 7 day cruise this Friday. I will be purchasing the minimum amount of internet time so that I can check email and the forums in the morning, then compose posts offline and post them in the evening. The spell boosts AC, same as Mage Armor or Shield. It all results in not being hit by an attack and I tend to leave descriptions of that stuff vague so you can flavor that however you want. 'A magical effect makes the attack miss' is the same mechanic no matter how you want to describe it, and I don't care if you use the book description or not. AC is stupid, armor should bump DR like the variant, but we use what the game gives us.

And as soon as to convert AC to DR you get the problem of after 4th level things start to never miss. The only way to combat that is to remove BaB but then that causes you to have to make more changes elsewhere. Butterfly effect style.
