Insacrum - Opherous of Lyrec
Suddenly a clunk, the sound of gears and a dizzying shift in position leave you almost upright. You slide down with no way to halt yourself until the balls of your feet hit the floor. You see a stepladder pushed into position above you before an excited looking tiny gnome climbs it and begins to poke and prod and lift. Going into truly uncomfortable detail as he examines your teeth, then your toes. When no stone is left unturned he stands on the top step of the ladder to look you in the eye. "You are perfectly healthy." he declares, seeming immensely pleased with the fact. He pokes you in the forehead then clicks his fingers and suddenly you can move your limbs. "There now, let me show you around..." |

"I'll assume those pertain to me," replied the gnome, clambering down from his stepladder. "Flinnick... Gnome... Irrelevant." he answered slightly mockingly and rather unhelpfully. "Take a few moments to get used to muscle control again, then I can show you to your things."

The Gnome begins to carry his oversized stepladder (Nearly three times his own height) over to a cupboard. "Lyrec is where it always was, it's you whose moved. We're going to your armoury. I don't know what's there personally, but I'm betting that it features clothes."

Opherous stands and follows the gnome, not offering to help carry any part of the ladder. Seeing him work the ladder in such a way says that the little thing has strength, perhaps more than it should normally have. Already doing so, Opherous intones, "Lead the way than."

"No need to walk," the gnome explains, "Geoff, take us to the god's armoury."
The world shifts. As you reorient you see that you have indeed changed places. Here you see an ornate bronze statue of yourself, bearing many wondrous items. Beside it, arrayed with grandeur in mind is a collection of weapons and a shield. Perhaps most unusual however is the dwarf, seated upon a stool. He looks up as you arrive, his eyes narrow as he recognises you from the statue. "So it's you I'm supposed to wait for. They put me in here 'n' said I was your 'equipment'" the dwarf stands up and points at you, "I'll tell you now lad, I'm nobodies equipment." |

The gnome shrugs at that last part, "God or not, it's irrelevant. Gods aren't that special around here. Same with your stuff, this is what you arrived with. So I suppose you'll have to make do."
Meanwhile the dwarf seems to be lost for words, his prepared tirade defused by your instant and honest agreement. As it became clearer that you are in more or less similar positions he moves over to you, offering you his shield. "They tell me this stuff is mine. But look at the insignia." The dwarf points out the ring and anvil. "That's my forgemark. Been my personal mark since I was in my twenties. So I know I made this. But look here." He points closer in, between the ring and the top of the anvil. There you see elements of the insignia that has been inscribed on 'your' weapons and armour. "When I made this I paid homage whoever made yours." |

"Now you go to the waiting room when you're ready. Just ask Geoff to take you there." instructs the gnome, "In the mean time, I'm going to lunch. Geoff, take me to the break room."
The gnome vanishes. |

The Scene shifts.
This room is surprisingly different from those you have seen so far. Firstly it is made mostly out of wood, floor, ceiling and walls all. Secondly it is lit by a warm cheery fire sitting in the hearth. Thirdly it contains chairs, well stools, and tables complete with food and drink. One place is noticeably different from the others, appearing to cater to an entirely different physiology. No different from the previous rooms thin arcane circles have been etched into the wood everywhere. Within the room are others. Each just beginning to ask their own questions about their new circumstances. Last edited by TheMystic; Dec 31st, 2013 at 12:44 PM. |
