[Game Thread] Grave Robbers??

Donavan, the care taker of the Peaceful Glades Cemetery has reported that a number of graves have been recently disturbed. He believes its just grave robbers looking for valuables to plunder. Find the cause and put a stop to it.
Reward: 200 gold
Requirements: Blade-Solo, Dagger team 2-4

Having selected your contract, you both leave the Guild Hall and head towards the cemetery. Looking at your map of the region you can see that the Peaceful Glades Cemetery is north of the city so the northern gate in the merchants district would be the quickest way to go.

Still walking with a sense of eagerness, "Let's head out through the North gate Red. I assume you have everything you need for our job?"

Shen is eager to get to the graveyard. "First thing to do is determine is any undead are around. It's highly unlikely since the contract stated robberies. I've never seen the dead looking to sell stolen goods... None-the-less, I've seen stranger things from the dead."

Shen continues his walk towards the North gate wondering what type of companion Selte will turn out to be...

'Red' nods, "We are unlikely to be out overnight, so I should be fine." he grins at the look on Shen's face "You seem awfully eager about a simple grave job. You sure you don't know someone in this cemetary or something?"

The two companions are fast approaching the North gate, and Shen is thinking about his new "friend". I don't know much about Red, he seems decent enough. His aura doesn't show anything Detect alignment at will baby!!! wicked"

"No, I don't know anyone in the cemetery, at least not that I know if. My interests there are with the dead, mainly the undead." Shen leaves it at that, "No need to tell the boy my life's story."

ooc If you can detect alignment, not just evil, then feel free to cut to the chase and Detect Good. He glows Good, though its pretty weak.

Selte hesitates mid step at that but then continues. "Graves disturbed. Undead..." a pause "Damn. I hate the undead. Not like you, but more because they don't have minds... What a pain..."

He sighs, "Still, if there are undead then that would explain the graves. A creature crawling from a grave tends to take his belongings with him, after all."

A slightly weaker grin "No offense though, but I would prefer normal grave robbers. Walking rotted corpses kind of creep me out..."

As they get to the gate he waves, spotting the man who let him into the gate just an hour or so ago, "Hello again! I have finished my wanton crime spree in the city and am fleeing with my misbegotten goods!"

He peers down at himself, and the fact that his gear is seriously lacking outside of his pathfinders kit on his back, "Er... My invisible loot. I am just that good." he winks at the man, good humor in his eyes.

Leaving the city, cracking your joke the guard just look at you and shakes his head. With it still being early in the day, about mid afternoon. You find the road to the cemetery to be clear and quiet as well as a bit dusty as it is a simple dirt road. After about two hours of walking you can see the cemetery coming into view and Donavan's house sits in front, just to the side of the gate that gives access to the cemetery.

Heading directly to the house he knocks, "Hello? We are here from the mercinary guild! We hear you have had some problems with looters?"

OOC to Moridain Shen can detect alignment of Law, Chaos, Good, Evil at will. I took the liberty of looking at Selte's character sheet for his alignment

Shen glances over at Selte after his joke to the guard. "You're a funny one aren't your Red?"

The two hour walk was uneventful, with Selte trying to maek small talk everyone one and a while. Shen answered him with short sentences, if anything at all.

Once at Donovan's house, Shen takes out the medallion and letter he received from May, and has it ready waiting for the caretaker to answer the door.

Knocking on the house, the door is answered by young looking Halfling. This boy doesn't seem to be much older than 13 or so. Looking at you, What ya need? I heard you yell something about looters.

Shen the kid looks up at you for a moment before blowing a raspberry and slamming the door on your face. After a quick moment the door is opened again and the child was replaced by a much older Halfling, giving you a quick glance. I'm Donovan, what is it you need?

[Moridain]

Red snorts at the raspberry from the young boy, "You are obviousy great with children." he says wryly to shen.

The door opens again, "Hello. We were sent by the Mercinary Guild." he gestures to the medalion, "We were told there had been some grave robbing going on here, and we were asked to investigate. Can you tell us anything about what has been going on?"

Donavan looks at you for a moment, scratching his scruffy looking face. Obviously its been a few days since his last shave. Ya I see the emblem, but don't ya have something you are suppose to be giving me. Only a fool tries to impersonate one of you folk, but if his stones are big enough he may just try. Easy way to get in and take anything that's been laid to rest.

[Moridain]

He sighs, "What is it with people thinking I am a grave robber today..?"

Turning he takes the letter from the still outstretched hand of Shen and gives it to the Caretaker "Here you go."
