OOC The mimic is along the side wall just how it shows on the map. Both doors are clear and easy to get to

"Of course. We won't let them hurt you, not when you are being so nice to us."

A pause "You will need to let Shen go though. He is... my apprentice, and he helps me with my mighty magics. If I do not have him I will not be able to bring you food."

For a moment the mimic does nothing, but then it releases Shen from its grip letting him slid on to the ground. You can see that the powerful adhisive is already resolving off his body. Afterwards it just sits there tentacle and tongue waving in the air as if to watch and see what you do next.

Selte nods his thanks, not turning to look at Shen "You are okay?"

"Thank you friend mimic. We will leave now, as promised, to fetch you food. I am a man of my word and will not go back on it now."

Tense he then nods before turning to walk out of the room, heading further inside...

Selte sighs in relief as they get out of the room without being stopped, his minor fear that the creature would attack passing as they put a door between them.

He takes a moment to orient himself, looking at the corridor they have entered and the door across from them. Thinking back he remembers entering the room from the south, the direction of this corridor and carefully moves down that way. He finds a hallway leading back to a bit the same as they saw as they entered there and realises it looped around.

"Can you check for tracks here? I think they would have passed this way," he gestures to this corridor, "Rather than through teh room with the Mimic, or they would have cleared it. They could also have left the mimic there, but I if they have that kind of power we are doomed anyway..." he grins a little warily.

He notes a door further to their right, "Check that in particular, maybe they went further south?"

He listens to Selte's suggestions, and answers "Sorry Red, just catching my breath. Good ideas, I'll take a look around." And Shen proceeds to scan the areas looking for any signs that others have been in the tunnels. Actions Seeing as we don't seem to be in any hurry or immediate danger, I'll Take 20's on Perception and Survival (tracks on hard surface) checks in the areas suggested by Selte.

OOC looks like there was a bitnof a miss understanding on my part on where you were going, I thought you had hit the southern door in the original room. The sarcophagus on the map is the mimic, that just the snap it was given when created. We are both looking at two different sections on the map. I do have this map made up on that site you had told me about if it would be easier for you so we stay on the same page

ooc Nice. I joined the game. You can now give me permission to control my character, letting me move the piece myself. Since we went south first, lets say we retreated back to the entrance and then went down the west corridor, where Selte asked him to check for tracks.
