Once he has completed his packing, Tayrren heads above deck again to join the others. Feeling slightly akward in his new clothing, he pulls at the slightly baggy pants and shirt. "I don't know how civilians can stand such loose clothing. It's going to get caught on everything." Though his clothes had changed and all markings of military were removed, he still had his sword strapped to his back and his musket slung over his shoulder. "So, where do we disembark, Iyani?" |

"I still believe starting at Godshome would be best, take out the most difficult of insurgencies where we aren't going to get backup anyway, with any luck the unrest in the region will be stopped if we stop it there." He says after he stretches in his less-fitted leather.

"Ok then, I have a feeling I don't want to hear the rest of this conversation. But unless you want to go all the way to Watershead the only town left is Grava. It's a tiny fishing village, not much in the way of tourism or shopping, but you can make your to wherever you decide to go from their, either by land or river." He reached into his uniform and grabbed three jingling leather pouches, which he tossed to the cadets.
Upon opening, they saw gold, silver and copper, "This is all I have on me right now, it's 1000 gold each. Make good use of it. Unless you tell me otherwise, I'll be dropping you off in Grava over the next few hours." He looked around the cabin. "I'll be telling the crew this is where I caught you, so from now on consider yourselves 'in trouble.'" He flashed them a smile. "I'm proud of you, good luck." |

Iyani takes the bag and peeks in it as her eyes go wide. WOW! sneaks out from her lips as she quickly stuffs it under her armor.
Looking at her friends, her eyes stopping at Alain, So, are we going to get booted at Grava then wander our way up? Last edited by kaylara; Mar 25th, 2014 at 08:05 PM. |

Alain fists gives a passing glance at Brannen before responding, "That would be a plan...yes."
He jingles the bag of coin near his ear, "That is assuming we don't get waylayed on the road every few steps for carrying around such wealth...I suggest at the nearest town we purchase some goods to lower the danger a bit...or at least bribe someone to start rumors of wandering singers, being us two...with our bodyguard tagging along of course." |

Iyani looks excited, Oh, I've seen this real light beautiful armor before. Mithril Chain Shirt I think it was called. I would love to acquire one.
While her thoughts begin to wander, she thinks of a song and starts to whisper it. |

The three were unceremoniously dumped off on the docks of Grava, where a toothless and possible drunk old man was "fishing" with his eyes closed. He was also snoring rather loudly.
"Get off, you lot!" Brannen says sternly, which startled the aged angler. After narrowly avoiding a fall off the dock, he looked up with eyes wide. "I'd watch out for them if I were you," Brannen said to him, muttering, "bunch of degenerates... with a dolphin..." as he walked back up the gangplank of the boat. A wide smile blossomed across the face of the bystandard, and he got up to follow the cadets as they made their way down the dock. "Name's Pherson," he said, breath reeking of alcohol, "what was that all about?" He was obviously eager to get the scoop on these newcomers. |

Alain sits up from the pain of being tossed on the dock, "Simple misunderstanding, my name is Alain. You know how strange things happen don't you Pherson? Kicked out of a military charge for some decent fun. Right Iyani?"

Iyani laughed, Speak for yourself, I told you not to try and court that girl. I have no idea why the military needed minsterals anyways... Just some garbage about moral they said. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. she looked over at Pearson.
Might ye enlighten us of where we are? Last edited by kaylara; Mar 26th, 2014 at 06:21 PM. |

He cackled, "misunderstanding huh? We've had a few misunderstandings ourselves in this village. Never with a dolphin though, now sheep maybe..." he trailed off with a wistful look in his eyes, then shook his head and came back to reality.
"Nevermind that, though, welcome to Grava. Best little town this side of Watershead, if you be lookin' for a drink or someplace to sleep, there's a tavern there just down the street. The Baited Fish, tell 'em Pherson sent ya." |

"Well, there's not much happenin' right now, what with all the unrest goin' on up north a lot of the trade has dried up." He expression became dark for a second.
Then, he brightened and said, "You folks know how to sing and play music? It's been an awful long time since we've had any entertainment around here. Can't promise riches, but if you're good you won't need to pay for no food, drink or room. Most of the village congregates at the Fish after supper." It was currently early afternoon. |

Before being thrown from the boat, Tayrren managed to express his gratitude to the Captain for what he considers an excessive gift.
Once on land, he finds himself berated by a smog of alcohol that spewed forth from the old man that greeted them. With little regard for courtesy, he waved a hand in front of his now curled up nose in a feeble attempt to remove the putrid stench from his nostrils. Though the man reeked, at least he offered some advice as to where they might stay, though Tayrren held his words to be of little regard. Still, he managed to grunt, "Thanks. We'll do that." as they began their walk toward town. It appeared that the man wasn't exactly going to leave them alone though, as he continued to question and offer advice before they got too far. Keeping himself just upwind of the man, but not too far away from Iyani and Alain, Tayrren rolled his eyes and walked on dutifully with out saying much else. |

Iyani shot a glare at Alain, Wanting to sing soprano tonight? as she moved her knee slightly, indicating what might happen next. Then her serious look busted out into a big, ah ha I got you grin.
Well off to the Prancing Pony! err I mean the Baited Fish. her expression changed at the sound of the name. Baited Fish, that's just wrong... she quickly cheered up and looked at the old man. Just stop on by if you want to hear us. Take care! she waved as they began to head thru the streets. Iyani's head was on a swivel as she examined everything around her, looking for the most beautiful things in the area. |
