Just beyond the shops, they saw a sign bearing a rather large mouthed fish with what looked like a human arm shoved down it's gullet. |

Iyani looked around as they traveresed the small town. Looks like this places beauty is hidden within its folk and simplicity. Just the thing to make one feel at home. I don't know about you, but I would like to stop at one of the larger towns on the way. I hope to find a beautiful mithril shirt. she looks up at the sign.
Shall we share a drink and meal, peerhaps listen to rumors and play a song or two? |

"But of course, that would be the most fun...even if the place sounds disturbing." Alain smiles.

"It would be best to gather what intel.. I mean information we can while we are here," Tayrren stuttered, only just catching himself before sounding to militaristic. "Though they might have some of the items I would be interested, I do agree that a larger city might be the better place to make purchases. A little more discreet anyway. I'll take a place near wherever you end up performing and keep my eyes and ears open for anything either threatening to us or helpful to us."

They walked into the darkened main room of the tavern, which was lit only by the fire burning in the stone hearth and the diffuse light from two windows. So early in the day, the place was sparsely populated.
"Waddya want?" the innkeeper called from behind the bar. She was a thirtyish woman, with mud brown hair and the weathered countenance of someone who had spent a lot of time outdoors. |

"Me and my fishwife here." he winks jokingly at Iyani, "Got thrown ashore earlier today, we were wondering if this place would like to have some music in exchange for some rooms and food." He beams a smile at the lady.

Iyani grinned, Breakfast works too. as she sits down at a table.
Nice little town here. How have things been? Any recent news for a some weary travelers? Last edited by kaylara; Mar 28th, 2014 at 02:38 AM. |

Tayrren followed the Iyani's lead and pulled a chair up yo the table. Though to call it a chair was a stretch due to its rickety build and lopsidedness. Shifting his weight at least made it possible to find a balancing point where three of the legs met the ground.
He slung his gun off his shoulder, propping it against the edge of the table. He aure wished now that he had kept the blunderbuss he had been borowing since his musket was not really suited for such small places. "I could go for a good breakfast. Can't make the day any worse than losing the promising job we had." |

"Fishwife huh? Don't tell me, I don't even want to know," the woman said.
"I'm Kallie, it's been a while since we've had any entertainment around here. If you don't mind, I would like to hear your abilities first. No offense, but with the recent troubles we haven't had much in the way of business passing through and I can't keep my doors open by giving away free food to everyone who claims musical ability." |

"It would be a pleasure to show our abilities, want to go first Iyani?" Alain smiles and grandly gestures to her, "Of course if you don't want to sing in turn we could do our duet."

Iyani opened her mouth and began to belt out a beautiful note, then her voice cracked. With an amused glance, Kallie slid her a beer and Iyani drank. Opening her mouth again, she begins to sing quite well. Soon Vaerdis joins in and the tavern was filled with music.
A few locals ducked their heads in to watch. Kallie responded by throwing a copper mug in their direction, which bounces off one's head and thumps to the wooden floor. "No Gawkin!" she says, "if ya wanna hear them, tell your buddies to come back later and drink. They'll be puttin' on a show tonight." She turned in their direction. "That's pretty good, do you three have a name for your group?" Last edited by Adamah; Mar 29th, 2014 at 01:55 PM. |

"Now that I think about it..." Alain says after ending on a harmonious note, "We didn't put much thought to that when we threw this band of song together, I'd love to speak on behalf of the group but we will have a name to be known by, by the end of the night."

Tayrren hadn't realized it, but he had been holding his breath ever since Iyani's voice had cracked. It was lucky that it was just nervousness or perhaps a parched throat, but the beer that Kallie had slid to her seemed to have been the cure. The townsfolk that were showing up proved that their plan was going well, at least until the name of the group was brought up.
His heart skipped a beat, How could we have not thought of such a minor detail? How foolish. We should be better than that, more composed, Tayrren though. But it seemed that yet again, Iyani and Alain were good at improvising. So we have a deal then? My friends here perform and we receive a meal and lodging for the night? It seemed that there were plenty interested which should be good for business, no? |

Iyani smiled in response to Tayrren, Yes, it looks like it. You are the bouncer tonight like usual. she turns to Alain, How about the name, T.I.A? it's the first letters of our names or perhaps Waters Edge?
