To start with, I think we should also introduce ourselves and our characters. I am your DM, and have been DMing tabletop games for about 9 years and play by post games for about 2 years, although this is my first time with this site. I am fairly new to the Pathfinder system, as I have been using 3.5 for as long as I've been playing, but I've found that Pathfinder is a very natural evolution of the 3.5 system and have found the transition fairly easy.

Welcome!
I was introduced to roleplaying on a Star Wars system similar to D&D 3.5, almost ten years ago. Since then, I've played Pathfinder, Star Wars Saga, D&D 3.5, and GURPS. I've tried GMing a couple of times, and right now I'm running an in-person Star Wars game. My favorite parts of RPing are exploration, magic, and character/story development. (For example, I like roleplaying how it feels to my character to use a new skill or spell for the first time.) My character, Jasen, is a Detective (a bard archetype) who's pretty versatile--spells, fighting, trap finding, bardic music. Because of that, I'm going to see what other kinds of characters we have in the group before finalizing his build.

I have what I would categorize as medium level ropleplaying experience. I am most familiar with 3.5 and pathfinder and really haven't branched out much from there. This will be my first game through online forum and I'm interested to see how it goes.
Valtyra is an Aasimar Oracle of Bones, giving her both healing spells (Oracles are divine casters) and Necromancy abilities. |

Oracles are fun. My first app to this game was an Oracle of Lore, but I'm excited to play my first-ever Bard.

For those who are creating their character sheets, the Campaign ID is 347. I will create individual game threads as the sheets are completed to get people started.

One other thing I should mention about the flow of the game threads. In the interest of keeping things moving, there will be times when I will roll checks for the characters based around what the players wanted to do. This is just to cut down on the time between posts. This obviously won't be the case all the time, but I just wanted everyone to be aware of it now, before we've started.

Hello all, thanks for having me. I am Togot, and I've been playing both 3.5 and pathfinder for about 3 years now. I've played Skurvin twice before, but those games ended for various reasons. Here's hoping this one lasts.
Skurvin is an ambitious manipulative individual with a silver tongue. He is practical minded, and arrogant though he rarely displays this quality outwardly. He likes to be in charge, so he will try to get into a position of authority, but that doesn't mean you guys have to put him in charge. In fact half the fun of playing him is the struggle to worm his way into a leadership role. My inspiration for the character was little finger from game of thrones. He's a talker and a thinker more than a fighter, for battle he relies on Kria like a body guard, or attack dog. She is very quiet, mostly only responding to Skurvin himself. She will treat most of the party with indifference, but will be sadistic in battle, ripping enemies apart and even eating them. Skurvin usually keeps his class powers a secret, and simply refers to Kria as his bodyguard, so you probably won't know what she is until you see him dismiss her, or you do some kind of knowledge check. In public places she wears a hood and cloak to hide her features to avoid attention since she looks demonic. feel free to ask any question about them or me, and I look forward to playing with you all

I played Valtyra in a one-shot a while back and I really liked it! She's my first spell caster. Here's to trying new things!

b I've been playing dnd since I was 15. I am now 37. I'm playing a good natured, easy-going halfling rogue named Calin Hillsburroough. I'm usually DM and have been almost all of my PnP gaming. I am running a 2nd edition Ravenloft game and a 3.5 Forgotten Reals game on this site as well as playing a few characters. Can't get enough

OK, Skurvin and Kria are finished. Skurvin got some pretty crap scores, but I'll deal with it. Where would you like us to post our characters and sheets?

You can post the character sheets under the tools dropdown menu. The campaign id is 347.

No, I meant that most games have a thread dedicated to posting the character applications and a link to their sheets.

Well in that case, you can either post it here or under the character creation thread if you want.

I added my app to the character creation thread, along with a link to my very, very unfinished character sheet.
