Gwenifer Llewellyn - Northwestern Sandpoint: The BoneyardGwenifer watched as Zachory walked away from the group. Had she known him better she might have had a slightly slack jawed expression on her face, but as it was she did not know him so she was not surprised in the least by his leaving.

Though as he left she also added her well wishes to that of Calystra by saying, "Safe travels."

After she turned towards Calystra, "Can you tell anything about the lingering magic?"

Sheriff Hemlock"I really don't see any other alternative. The goblin raid must have been cover for the abduction of Ezakien's body...But WHY?" the sheriff mused.

"Please, the town doesn't need any more unrest. Keep this as much to yourselves as possible. If you MUST make enquiries, be as discreet as you can. If I need any further assistance, I'll be sure to contact you. You're staying at the Rusty Dragon, no?"

Gwenifer Llewellyn - Northwestern Sandpoint: The BoneyardGwenifer turns towards the Sheriff, "Yes, we are staying at the Rusty Dragon. I suspect you can ask for the Heroes of Sandpoint and the Innkeeper will know who to look for." As she said the words Heroes of Sandpoint the words felt foreign on her tongue. Rarely did she seek attention from anyone but she suspected that the Innkeeper did not know their names especially since she did not remember catching the Innkeepers name.

Scourge of Darkness"We will be as discreet as possible. Please find us at the inn if you learn anything. We will search more here."

Scourge left the tomb and began to intensely Take 20 gives 21 total to track.study the tracks, knowing such hard evidence would prove more accurate than rumors.

Gwenifer Llewellyn - Northwestern Sandpoint: The BoneyardGwenifer, while waiting for an answer from Calystra watched as Scourge began studying the tracks carefully. She followed closely behind him for several feet before tapping him on the shoulder and adding, "I may be able to track those a bit faster."

Calystra, exiting the Tobyn vaultFollowing along with the other two, Calystra finally awakens from her trance of studying the robe, trying to understand what she was seeing. "I'm not completely sure what this is, but it's as if there was once magic resident inside the garment and a tiny fragment of it remains. I am still a neophyte when it comes to analyzing magical auras, but I believe it has a hint of necromancy, which is magic related to death and dying. I believe we should gain an audience with Father Zantus and show this to him. Perhaps he might know what this is?"

Calystra stores the robe in her backpack before they leave the Boneyard, as carrying the robe in plain sight around town might cause misunderstandings. She also calls Aurora back to her side, and asks her if she saw anything peculiar while circling the area.

GM Post

Northern SandpointAs the three companions left the Boneyard, the tracks led out of the graveyard to the west. The tracks skirted the edge of the town square outside the Cathedral, and continued to head west, but the group was waylaid by a flustered Father Zantus.

"Dear heroes, please...help me out with this," the priest sputtered. "This gentleman here heard about your exploits last night and wanted to meet you, and has been pestering me for an hour!"

The town's spiritual leader leaned in and whispered to Gwenifer (SECRET TEXT FOR GWENIFER).

"I was just telling a few jests to the good father to bide the time" announced the newcomer, a stout dwarf encased in scale mail armor.

"While I have you here, is there anything you discovered in the Boneyard? What was the meaning of it all? Sheriff Hemlock wouldn't let me get involved, something about me "having more important things to do."" Father Zantus asked, curiosity evident on his face.

OOGMWelcome, Ullryn. You may continue to interact as needed.

For Calystra: Aurora has followed the tracks, and they lead around a corner before exiting town to the east.

With Father ZantusUllryn was overly exited with the way things were going with Father Zantus. Perhaps after a time the good father would see the truth and the light about Torag. At the mention of meeting the rumored heroes that he had been hearing so much about he was almost giddy with excitement. 'Warriors through and through'. As much glory and praise as this group was getting, he figured that once they met him, they would instantly know a kindred soul, and see the wisdom of grouping together.

It was when Ullryn turned the corner around the wall of the cathedral that his giddy mood deteriorated. The human looked like she would rather be hiding from the world, rather than help to save it from a group of marauding goblins. The Elf looked like all stories that Ullryn had heard of them being; Too tall; too thin, and too magical. And then there was the Half-Orc.

This wasn't a group of great heroes! It was a band of misfit adventurers that happened to be at the right place at the wrong time. If they thought that the could go around this town, and claim all of the glory of battle while Ullryn just stood on the side-lines, then they had another thing coming to them. If he was going to spread the glory of Torag, and he had to use them to do it, so be it!

Ullryn stood his ground, even in front of the half-orc and announced, "Hail, I am Ullryn Stonefist of Clan Granite Ax of the Silverstar Mountain Pass. I come to offer my services to the good father, and he mentioned that I might be of assistance to both him, and of course, you."

Gwenifer Llewellyn - Northern SandpointGwenifer tilts her head towards Father Zantus in an inquisitive manner, in reply to the leaned in whisper.

She then nodded towards the newcomer and said, "Greetings Ullryn Stonefist of Clan Granite Ax of the Silverstar Mountain Pass. I am Gwenifer Llewellyn".

Scourge of Darkness"And I am Scourge of Darkness. You are welcome to join us, I have the feeling there will be more than enough goblins for the both of us. You will need to make yourself ready to travel though."

Scourge began to walk towards the Rusty Dragon, motioning for the others to follow. "Father, we found some goblin tracks leading out of town. Since that seems to be the most dangerous lead, we'll follow them ourselves. The sheriff is going to follow other leads. Do you have a way to find us if he uncovers anything here?"

Father Zantus"If you leave word at the Rusty Dragon as to your intended whereabouts, I can send an initiate with messages if needs be" the holy man indicated. "May Desna smile on your efforts to track down the perpetrators of this heinous and foul act. Is there anything else I can be of assistance with before you depart? Have you found any other clues?"

Calystra, being introduced to UllrynCalystra was well aware of the reputation Dwarves had amongst most Elven communities. Stubborn, gruff, and difficult to deal with. She was also aware of the stories her parents and their friends would tell, of valiant Dwarven warriors and righteous Dwarven priests stalwartly wading into battle, smiting enemies and protecting allies against impossible odds. Her own experiences with Dwarves were few and superficial; this was a great opportunity for her to learn more about this race of not-as-long-lived people, so long as this one offering his services proved to not be as bad as the stereotypes of his race.

"Stars shine down upon your path, friend Ullryn. I am Calystra, and my raven companion here is called Aurora. If Father Zantus agrees that you are able to help us, then so be it. The powers that be seem to be bringing all of us together for a purpose. I assume you and that warhammer at your side are foes to those who would exploit and do wrong onto others?"

Calystra, speaking to Father ZantusAfter addressing the Dwarf, Calystra pulled the mysterious robe out of her pack and presented it to Father Zantus. "We found this while searching the scene at the Boneyard," she said in a hushed tone. "I detected a faint magical aura on it, scarcely there, a lingering necromantic enchantment or energy of some kind. I do not know what the spell or magic might have been, nor do I know what this robe is or why it was left on the floor of the vault. Can you enlighten us as to what this may be?"

Father ZantusThe holy man reached out gingerly to take the robe from Calystra, wrapping his hand in the sleeve of his own robe before grasping the garment. "I have an idea, but I'll have to verify."

Father Zantus waved his hand over the robe, muttering incomprehensibly. "It is as I suspected and feared. This is a Robe of Bones. A dead Robe, for sure, but I am certain of its properties nonetheless. This would be used to conjure undead minions. What state was the vault in? This is something very nefarious..."

Scourge of DarknessScourge's face betrayed no emotion as he delivered the news. "Ezakien's body is missing. We're following some tracks that lead from the vault so we can correct this injustice."

Turning to his companions, he continued, military discipline taking over his demeanor. "We should move quickly and try to find catch up by nightfall, before whoever this necromancer is can desecrate the remains any further. Come, Ullryn, I am sure you wish to stop whatever act is about to occur.

Father, we will do our best to return by tomorrow, or find some way to send word to you otherwise."

Ullryn Stonefist, off to adventure!Ullryn had to repress the initial remark that he was about the yell out at the orc... half-orc. Biting his tongue was more literal at this point, and he hoped that he covered up his contempt at having been ordered to come like a common dog. Rather than offer any verbal retort he simply nodded his consent.

Why would he nod? If what father Zantus had said was true, there was necromantic sorcery at play, and he was sure that his skills would be needed to ensure that whatever was causing this problem would be properly disposed of. Turning to the good father, Ullryn remarks, "Father Zantus, it would seem that our paths would part at this juncture. I hope that when next we meet that we will have news of uncovering this mystery."
