Sent a PM to TheMystic on the 7th and I haven't heard back. He has been on the site since but according to his user profile he has not been able to post since the 1st when he did in our OOC saying that he was having a hard time finding time to post. He has one more day before I NPC his character, I know you all would want to same courtesy if you were not able to post so please have just a little more patience.
Thanks, -Pendragon

Yes, as a player I respect your skipping/NPCing of inactive players, as flow is one of the most important aspects of PbP. I thank you for your consideration of the feelings of the other players. Regards, Z

Thanks for waiting, though if I have trouble again you are welcome to NPC me. Sorry, been getting used to university all over again.
On the topic of initiative. We failed, sorry. To be fair to Grendal he could have rolled a 20 and we wouldn't have made it though. To be extra fair to everybody I would like to suggest an alternative initiative system that still rewards the high initiative characters that I've seen put to good use on the site (take it or leave it, your system is still much better than the default for pbp). There are two components to this. First is simple, roll initiative well in advance of combat (roll our initiative at the end of a combat ready for the next one) can save time on the bottleneck (it could technically give a strategic advantage "Oh, my initiative is low this time, better pick an easy fight" but I haven't met anybody on this site who's bothered to game the system to that extent and certainly none of the players here [who I have to say are impeccable and I'm honoured to be among you.]) The second is the one that rewards the high initiative characters. That is, keep using the single enemy roll, but allow the players rolls to count individually. The effect of this ends up being as follows. Players who won initiative -> Enemies -> All Players -> Enemies -> All Players -> ... and so on. Because it doesn't really matter whether it's the players acting at the end of one round or the beginning of another. Player actions are resolved in whatever order works best as they could achieve this formally by delaying their actions in any case. |

I actually use the latter system for my games.

All the moves and attack rolls have been made for round 1. I am working on a short post describing the actions, please wait for me to post in the game thread before making your move.

If you want to include their save bonuses along with the AC values I can roll saves for anybody I target.

Talking to Pendragon last night, it seemed that he couldn't find your character sheet, FYI.

Encounters take a big block of time so I am not going to be able to post tonight. I have a few other shorter DM posts in my other games I am going to see to. I will have your second round ready tomorrow night, including those saving rolls for you TheMystic.
