My family is from Kent, so it's all farmland and forest down there. Though if you try to go anywhere, there are inevitably people from all over trying to do the same thing.

Cool -which bit of Kent? My Dad's from Sutton Valance (South of Kent) and my mum's from Bromley (Kent, but almost London) and I went to school in Tonbridge (middle of Kent) - so I know the place well!

So when I first read this, I was using a US perspective thinking about going to France: Flying, Passports, Prices, Etc.
Now it seems like you're British (I assume that's the term to group together Scottish, Welsh, English, and Northern Irish, but correct me if I'm wrong) so the trip to France would either be by ferry, or chunnel, which doesn't seem so bad.

My grandmother is in Borough Green, my uncle in Gravesend, and my cousins scattered throughout.
I'm actually only half english though--my mom's side is like 12th generation American (yes, I saw the genealogy, and yes, we have a genealogy...)

Also, if you're all done, could I get a post of you making your way out of the station in the intro thread? You don't have to be together or anything, just relatively nearby in the street will be fine.
