So...possible ship names...
I don't want to overwhelm you. Those were just a few I came up with. Feel free to suggest others or discuss my options.

My ranking for the names are based on the fact that I like the idea of the shipping having been procured used and with a clean name in tact for the sake of smuggling. It's likely the name will have to be changed at some point or traded in to get rid of unwanted attention.
1. Resh'alan Maid (Seems non-hostile) 2. Second Sunrise (Pleasant and yacht-like) 3. Dondruuan Eagle (A little more aggressive, but still unassuming) 4. Hard to Port (Fun and not overly "I'm a smuggler") Aftermath and Luck Strikes Twice are both good names, but I don't like them because they seem like the names of smuggler ships. |

Your name is in the mouth of others; make sure it has teeth.
1. Hard to Port (dual meaning, and will probably be true) 2. Resh'alan Maid (makes me think Resh'ala is not a place to hire a maid. There's a reason this would become a name) 3. Dondruuan Eagle Aftermath and Second Sunrise both suggest a history. Second Sunrise suggests a rebuild and rebirth. I like Aftermath, but maybe not as the first name. Thrown out there because it popped into my head, the Death And. Taxes is implied, but not explicitly stated. I could see it becoming known as the Taxes to those who hear it enough. |

I'm cool with hard to port for start. It has style and humor.

Twas my first thought, and the multiple meanings are relevant.
Once I have basic character outlines (not necessarily full workups/sheets) and who is nominally in charge (or who flies the thing most of the time) I'll work up a post. I will work with you on equipment and available resources aboard ship. The game will begin aboard ship and in transit. Good luck (said in the voice of the announcer at the beginning of the first level of the classic Star Fox 64)!

I prefer the "good luck" from the original Star Fox on snes. Barely words...
Anyway. Beez is your character going to be any kind of mechanical? I don't mind making mine the pilot but if you're fancies machinery and stuff than that's the way to go. As for who's in charge; my character is looking like he'll be the face man. He'll likely appear to be the leader whether there's a hierarchy or not. |

Alignment: have one. Actual alignment choice doesn't matter to me.
HP: full 1st and 2nd. Roll 3 and 4 or take average (d8 would be 5 and 4).

Warning, image is likely large and ugly!
This is a top view and side view of the Hard to Port. Yes, it's really clunky, but she was cheap.

For Tom:
I don't need a full history for Djimm, but I have a bit written up to help with a general background. If he was raised on the ratfolk homeworld of Renetia, this is a blurb about the planet: If he was born on any other planet, the likelihood is that he lived in a ratfolk enclave on the outskirts of whatever the settlements of the dominant race (pretty much canon ratfolk). Would have apprenticed in a trade or attended formal schooling, your choice. If he's smuggling, he probably has spent most of his adult life doing something spaceship related, whether it be repair, operations, space station crew, or something similar. You can play with that as you like. Most of the planets have almost no canon features precisely because I was trying to crowdsource a ton of this. If this is causing a problem for you, you may want to be playing something other than a ratfolk. I only have the dwarf and elf homeworlds established, along with a rural human farming world and a deep fringe moon that almost nobody lives on. Let me know what you need, and I'll work with you. Vague "I need lore" isn't going to help because I'm going to just end up getting overwhelmed and wasting two nights panicking on what to make up.

If Beez is cool with it then I have an idea as to who the "Leader" is.
In private (so most of the time) decisions will be democratic. In public Djimm will take the role as the leader, as he is the face of the group and being the captain of the ship provides extra leverage in those situations. BTW Djimm is capable of doing everything ship related, but it's apparent that Qrulk is the better pilot and would likely be at the tiller more often. If this is all OK then I think we're ready to start world hopping. |

I'll have the post up by tomorrow night. Tonight has a lot of demands on me. I have the post started, but don't know if I'll have time to complete it.
