I already submitted an application, but had not seen anything prior to it having started or who was selected, and feel like I was left hanging, wondering if I would make the cut when apparently the game had already begun.

I had read that to mean that characters were already being selected since nothing had been posted of that.
It seems to me only courteous to let people know who was selected or at minimum when they were selected so that people waiting to see if they were selected will not remain in suspense.
