Race common Drow Class Hexcrafter (magus archetype) Role in party Gish. Potential face Why do you want to play? It’s been a very long time since we were in a game together, and I’m sorry our characters didn’t interact more. You might not remember the game, as it was in your Dirkoth days. Anyway, wanted to game again with you. Also I want to cast hexes! Every single game where I was a magus, died before I could get access to hexes.

while you all gather and wait for more, you can talk among yourselves and try to get ideas on how groups of you might be tied together, know each other, etc.. form some bonds that would make it easy to make a team out of you.

Name: Elbra Lightwater
Race: Human, weirdly enough for me Class: Skald (Totemic Skald, Urban Skald) Role: Support. Unexpectedly good healing. Bard stuff. Plinky little archery damage. Why play this? Years ago, I was fiddling around with weird classes and came up with this mechanical build and the character that goes with it almost simultaneously. But the game it was built for almost immediately imploded. And I haven't had the chance to dig it out since (because I run more than I play, and because the build was never PFS legal). She's an upbeat, positive character excited about helping her friends do better and then celebrate about it! I think it'd be great to field her in a somewhat spooky undead setting for the contrast. Also, she can talk to cows. That's... not really useful, or why I want to play her, or an ability I expect will ever, ever be useful. I just thought you should know |

Your application format does not require a blurb about the character's appearance, personality, or background? Is this deliberate? Are you looking for a fairly generic hero character with little depth, focusing more on the gameplay itself?
I usually like to write intricate stories for my characters but if it is not what you are looking for, I can go more shallow and keep it short and sweet. I am brewing some ideas, some aspects of which might require approval. I am looking to create a bit of a minionmancer. Would this be a problem? These can put a few extra bodies on the board. To elaborate, the chassis for the build will be an Alchemist (Homunculist, Ectoplasm Master) 5 / Brewkeeper 1 (Prestige Class). The race, if approved, would be Wyrwood. Is this an acceptable race choice? I thought about your suggestion of reviving Raven, but I think I would prefer a fresh build.

There's probably a lot to my application process that is odd. In my experience, PC personality is going to change, to some extent lesser or greater, once they get in the story, and have some things happen to them. So... it's not a key component for ME as a gm to use to choose. And YOU as the applicant already know it, so writing it out isn't helping you a lot. And, of course, technically you CAN submit it, because my app is the minimum requirements to be considered, not a hard fast maximum. Background, IMO, rarely factors into my games, except as personality/motivation, and again, you already know it, and that's good enough. Description/physical could be worthwhile, I can easily admit. However, that is often just a chance to see how you will write, your style, and except for someone new like Big Wizard, I probably know what I am getting from each applicant, via how they write/style, etc. by now. If not, I can quickly check their past hundred posts, and see, via a bit of research. So, that won't tell me anything more about your style than I already know. And, yes, there's a little bit of deliberate in there. Just to see if people click all the buttons, and check all the boxes. At the moment, Wyrwood seems a bit over the power level of PC races, but not so far as I deem it an automatic "no". But it will be a factor in deciding if that PC can reasonably be in a group with others, and function well. Honestly, I have some similar reservations about a Drow, too, but perhaps the team can be formed around a nucleus of "not very socially acceptable races", so... Your class concept is okay, but I hope you saw in my semi-scattered and random thoughts earlier my feelings about minions. I'll look at the class closer after the Chief's game today, and if it tends more towards summoner of minions rather than standing army of minions, it will gain some leverage.

If you have a Drow, I could change my Race to Duergar Tyrant. Underdark bros together!

distinct lack of a cleric so far.
I kind of have the makings of a potential party... won't be classically strong, but that's okay, they may have to think about things a bit more, and perhaps, run/hide and try things again to get through them. But there's still pieces missing/gaps. ie, room for more applicants. Or, I may have the very minor beginnings of an outcast-led type party, the kind that probably won't be meeting the Mayor, King, or Duke any time soon, unless they are prisoners or in front of a crowd of people with pitchforks.
