Application Name: Mina / Mouse Goblin Breed: Green Cap Goblin Class: Ranger (Wild Defender) Appearance: Small and nondescript, you will be forgiven for forgetting Mira is even there most of the time, a fact she actually likes. Quiet and unassuming like the mouse she is often referred too, Mira will happily blend into the background and silently watch and wait for her moment, but despite her outside appearance, she is fiercely loyal to those she considers her friends and wont hesitate to strike, either with one of the many small blades she carries or with her claws and fangs of whichever animal form she is in at that moment in time, which for Mira is most of the time to be honest. Background: The ritual performed on the newborn children of the goblin clans is almost flawless, a divine gift from the gods and is the pinnacle moment in a young goblins life. But Almost flawless isn't perfect and sometimes, just sometimes something goes wrong. The last time was 16 years ago, when the parents of the White Cap clan brought their newborn daughter to the ritual and watched as she was granted the potion which would welcome her into their clan. her parents watching with glee as her colour changed, their glee turning to horror as a Green Skin and eyes took hold of their child. Somehow the potion she was given was the wrong one and the girl who should have been White Capped became Green Capped instead So began the tragic life of Mira the Mouse, rejected by her family, refused the right to have a new ritual performed she was abandoned and cast out of the White Caps as flawed and adopted into Green Cap life instead, taken in by Greenear at that moment. She could have had a fulfilling life but despite Greenear taking mercy on her and providing her with a home and food (what little she had), that was all that was given to the girl and she grew up mostly alone, what few friends she was able to make her Savage goblins she encountered in her lone childhood, and the animals she learned to imitate to get by Luckily Mira was a smart child, by no means smart enough to learn one of the higher callings of magic but more than enough to get by and make do, and she learned how to use her gifts to set herself up with a pretty satisfying life, spending most of her time imitating the Animals which seemed to have adapted to her community, spending more and more time in animal form than as her goblin self, to the point that Mira was mostly forgotten by all until she reappeared somewhere, performing some deed, sometimes for fun, other times just out of boredom. Her latest feat however would change how she was seen by her community, as she somehow became involved in saving the Goblin Queen from Assassination. Small RP Sample: It was late in the night, the celebration showing no sign of stopping but as far as Mouse was concerned it was a wasted effort, especially on her part. Luckily for her, her personality didn't shine as bright as the others and she was mostly forgotten once again and slipped off before anyone could rope her into dancing and the like. With a moments pause to check she wasn't being seen the small goblin girl disappeared, leaving behind a small grey cat who effortlessly slipped unnoticed amongst the party goers and after retrieving some food for her trouble, disappeared into the night leaving the rest of the revellers dancing and enjoying themselves. Taking advantage of her new smaller stomach, Yes she chuckled to herself at thatMouse the Cat took advantage of the food she had taken, gorging herself until full before making her way home to rest, and more importantly, get away from the sheer mass of people celebrating. Her home, if you could call it that, was little more than a hut with a bed inside, tacked onto the side of a blacksmiths at the far edge of town. At least as far as anyone knew it was. Her actual home was beneath the shop, a much larger room forgotten and buried with only a small tunnel accessing it from beneath the makeshift bed in the hovel above. Just large enough for a small Cat to squeeze through Her possessions were few and far between, her work as a ranger kept her away from home so often it seemed pointless possessing anything she couldn't carry but she still had the occasional whim and whimsy and collected books which caught her attention, possessing a small library of her own along with a few other little trinkets which caught the eye, her knives were laid out and checked over before she crawled into bed, although nest would be a better name for it, the collection of blankets and throws were many and all different colours, and piled on her bed to make a collection she could bury into to stay warm, which she often did as a cat or other animal to preserve heat Tonight however it was Mira who curled up amongst the bedding, feeling safer than she had any right to be as she drifted to sleep, tomorrow would bring something new she was sure, her act of saving the queen might have been forgotten by her but she knew the others wouldn't let it go and she had a horrible feeling her troubles were just beginning

Appearance Praasha is a thin female goblin with long black hair that is braided along the sides and decorated with colorful cloth ribbons. She has lemon shaped head with large round dark brown eyes. She wears a dark green dress with a light brown apron. On the apron is her faith's holy symbol of a golden wicker basket as a symbol of service to Magoog and goblinkind. She carries a sacred 'Book of Names' and a medical supply satchel. She is escorted by two riding dogs Pippy and Pugsy who carry her supplies.

 

1. The White Caps are governed by Gih-Zhou or High Lords, these leaders serve 5 years and are elected and/or removed by the eldest women in the community.

2. The White Caps appreciate vocations intended to progress the community, those who serve are frequently honored with celebrations and awards of recognition. This is influenced by the worship of Magoog.

3. All children are tested through various vocational aptitudes in order to determine their future apprenticeship for the following 3 years. Before a couple can marry, the groom must hunt a wild animal alone and the bride must use her skill to craft an item that contributes to her groom's survival during his hunt. The skills used by both genders were reflected from the vocational training they received during their apprenticeship.

4. Candidates to the Hearth Mother's Cathedral are selected at the age of ten. They spend 6 years learning the doctrine of Magoog and learning different trades.

5. The Caves of Nutyanta is a network system connecting mining villages of different family units of the White cap Goblins. There are a dozen villages connected with a large trading village in the center. The trading village is called Murkgard and has representative households from the deeper cavern communities and from the surface. There are mining villages Kliarin, Wildwatch, Drarird, and Qrashi. There are also agriculture and industrial villages like Murkhelm, Quillburn, and Sootdale. Praasha's home is Webbury Hovel which acts as a way station for Goblins traveling the networks.

 

Clerics of Magoog are called Hearth Maids or Hearth Mothers. They serve as midwives and ladies of service to the communities they are in at the moment.

They are required to learn multiple trades intended to provide important services to the community. This includes Carpentry, Pottery, Agriculture, Seamstress, Mason, Cooking, and more. Throughout their lives Hearth Mothers will accrue five or six different trades as the vast experiences are deeply respected.

Book of Names is a new tradition of the hearth mothers of Magoog. These books record births, deaths, and unions. Each book is unique to each hearth mother as the record only scribes her experiences. Because of this practice hearth mothers of Magoog go through great pains to recover the Book of Names from fallen or discredited priestess.

 

Praasha

Background Praasha was born and raised in the way station of Webbury Hovel, a small station village along one of the network routes. The hovel is the permanent home to Praasha's parents, uncles and aunts, and grandparents. The family unit operates an inn and tavern, a general store, a stable (Riding Dogs, Giant Lizards), an apothecary, and several gardens. There are also shrines lining the area with a camping space for those not wanting to use the services. Praasha was raised performing different tasks in support of the family, until she was taken by the hearth mothers to the Cathedral of Magoog. At the temple, the mothers taught Praasha the doctrine of the Goddess, medical practices, surgical procedures, alchemy, and advanced techniques in her childhood skills of cooking and sewing. As a deity of service, they trained the young goblin unarmed combat techniques and the use of weapons that are also implemented in goblin agriculture as well. Praasha has excelled in the Kama and nunchaku weapons.

You have 2,000 gold to spend. You can also choose an item that was a gift from the queen. SoftEmbers chose a masterwork sword, so I'd say the item must be 400 gold or less.

U'Kurash Name: U'kurash Goblin Breed: Green Cap Goblin Class: OA Shaman Gender: Male Appearance: Short stocky green skinned with red and white tattoos on arms and red ones on his face. His head is adorned with sharp pointy ears and black hair pulled back into a ponytail dyed red on the tip. He sports a black goatee beard. Background: U'kurash was born into the Green Tribe. His ceremony was uneventful compared to some others. He thrived outside in nature and never understood those that preferred the underground. He found he was different than most others in that he had a connection with the spirits unlike others. The Shaman elders noticed his natural talents and took him he to train him. His ability to not only speak with spirits, but to summon them and other creatures was growing with each passing day. Two weeks later his fateful day arrived. His Queen was under attack and he summoned his spirits to help defeat the assailant. He was then recognized and bestowed honors from the Queen and become one of several heroes to the crown. What fate awaits him now, only the spirits know? RP:U'kurash has spent the day like most deep in the forest and communing with the spirits of the world. He was returning to camp with his trusted animal companion/mount Rufus. He felt safe with Rufus and also knowing Frick and Frack were above scouting for trouble. Rarely did U’Kurash get surprised. Today, not far from returning to town, he was surprised, when Frack came to inform him, that trouble was afoot. Frack Flew in the direction of trouble and U’Kurash and Rufus followed close behind. They reached a scene where Queen Nanehmet was under attack. There were a couple others defending her, but the battle looked tense. U’kurash jumped off Rufus and yelled to him to protect the Queen. In the meantime, U’kurash immediately summoned some allies, two large wolves popped in and was directed to attack. U’kurash yelled above the fray, “Your Highness, Queen Nanehmet please get on Rufus and out of danger.” He turned to his mount and conveyed the same. She mounted him and was rushed off saving her while U’kurash and the others finished off the assassination attempt in short order.

I chose a Masterwork Poison Ring: This large but stylish ring has a reservoir that can hold a single dose of poison (injury only). To deliver the poison, the wearer must flip down a tiny, hollow needle so that it protrudes from the palm side of the ring, then make a successful touch attack against her target. Locking the needle into place requires a standard action, but the wearer tends to look rather suspicious fussing with her ring. Alternatively, the wearer can attempt to position the needle one-handed with a DC 15 Dexterity check, but failing by 5 or more indicates that she has pricked herself with the needle and is subject to the poison. An observer can notice the needle protruding from the wearer's palm with a successful DC 30 Spot check.
The ring deals 1 point of damage on a successful touch attack, plus the poison's normal damage. The victim may have to make a DC 10 Wisdom check to recognize the source of the attack if not in combat.Poison Ring, not to actually poison anyone, but because it is one of the few items that enhances Skully's Touch Attack (+1 hit/damage).
