Application Name: Jahzul Darkruby Species: Zeltron Class: Jedi Guardian/Jensarrai Defender Background: Jensaarai Personality Jahzul made a poor Jedi Padawan. The Jedi taught balance and serenity. Divest oneself of emotions lest you fault to the Dark Side. This was difficult for a Zeltron and doubly so for Jahzul. He is passionate in all things he does. He feels that the Jedi had taken their philosophy too far, cutting themselves off from emotions that made sentients whole. Yes, extreme emotions could lead one too far into the Dark. But resisting this pull, experiencing emotion without allowing corruption, this was the true nature of balance. Jahzul allows himself to experience the fullness of emotion, to be passionate, and still not be swayed to corruption. The thing he is most passionate about is battle. While this has always been a facet of both Jedi, Sith, and Jensaarai, Jahzul embraced it. He reveled in the fluidity and motion, the dance of it. His force sensitivity opened more options to him beyond what he could achieve with blade alone. He found lightsaber's elegant weapons, beautiful and destructive. A part of him also craved domination and victory of his enemies. This part of himself he must always temper and reflect on, lest corruption lead him astray. Appearance: Jahzul has dark red skin, a deep crimson. His hair is a light red or copper. It hangs loose with a slight wave reaching down his shoulders. His eyes are a hazel, perhaps a tad more yellow than normal. His is well muscled and lean with very little body fat thanks to his focus on the art of battle. The armor of the Jensaarai is as sacred as the lightsaber for Jedi. It is no less for Jahzul. His is modified to resemble a vornskr. Black, sleek, deadly. Using the Force to hunt. His face is exposed, but his eyes posses the same predator's gaze when he confronts his enemy. Backstory: Born on Zeltron, Jahzul was raised in their ways and taught the way and art of the sword from early age. His force sensitivity was not confirmed until his early teens and likely was one reason he had such trouble adopting the Jedi way. He chafed at the idea of suppressing his emotions to obtain an emotional balance that did not seem to make sense to him. On Zeltron, they were taught to fully experience life and embrace passion and emotion. This was not the Jedi way and he never found a reasonable explanation of why one could not do this and still avoid corruption. When he heard of a sect that had broken off that embraced a middleway, Jahzul ran to it. The Jensaarai flirted with Dark Side powers, but avoided corruption. They kept the ways of honor and discipline, but embrace aggression as well, the full range of sentient emotion. He trained with them, learning the teachings of both Jedi and Sith. Balancing the beliefs of both for a fuller expression of the Force. He learned honor to hone and direct his aggression towards a positive end. He was raised to the rank of full Defender of the Jensaarai. Trained by Saarai-kaar to temper his aggression and teach him how to focus it into a power that could become unrivaled. Now, he sets out on a journey to defend not just the Jensaarai, but all peoples. Connections: Jahzul has no previous connection the Hutt other than general knowledge. His training and adventures so far have never led him into Hutt controlled space Ally: The Saarai-kaar, leader of the Jensaarai, is an ally to every member of the order. Her original name has never been recorded so Saarai-kaar is both title and name for her. When he became a Defender, Saarai-kaar personally trained Jahzul to reinforce the teachings of their order and guide him towards his journeys in the greater universe. Rival: Leonia Tavira, leader of a band of pirates who tricked and used the Jensaarai for their own ends. No Jensaarai can ever forgive her betrayal and all seek vengeance on her

Sorry I'm a little later to the party, literally, lol. I've been distracted a bit trying to find a direction for my character. I know the Jensaarai are non-canon for the Old Republic, but since we're also incorporating a bunch of non-canon material I figured it would probably be ok. Let me know if you need me to change it up.
