Okay, since we have eight applications and there are a few more who've said they're going to apply, I'll wait until the original deadline to make picks. Looks good everyone!

I take it for psionics you're using dream scarred press's psionics? If so are you using psionics expanded or only psionics unleashed? Also, are there any special favored class bonuses for the eberron races (specifically do the Kalashtar have the "naturally psionic" favored class option, allowing them to take a power point every level rather than a skill point or a hit point, beyond the power point they gain anyways)?

This is the first I've heard of Psionics Expanded, so right now, we'll go for Unleashed only. Yes Kalashter can use the naturally psionic trait.

Interest and Placeholder, will work up something today. I too, like some other people have said, love both Eberron and Pathfinder. I also have never played the forgotten forge so would be an interesting thing to play.

I know the deadline's today but you said you're not going to choose for a couple days, right? So does that mean just any time today? If so, I'll try and get my application in sometime early afternoon.

Name: Urien d'Tharashk (Born into, but not marked.)
Race: Human Class: Wilder Birthplace: Shadow Marshes Background / Personality: Sitting in a tavern, that not terribly long ago saw better days as a barn, a muscular young man sits on a stool in the corner of the room, his long black hair and pale skin set him apart from the many farmers sitting around the tables. His bright blue eyes scan the room until finally a young farm hand walks over and introduces himself to the stranger and asks where he's from. "So you want to know about me eh? Well since you're buying, you are buying, right? Of course you are. Well, since you're buying, I'll tell you. Born in the marsh I was, me mother was half-orc by blood, but my father, he was human. In love they were, still are to, unless, Flame Forbid, something has happened to them. Ya see, left home, I did. Wanted to see the world, and to find my limits, after all finding stuff's what me house is all about. Course, it might've been a bad time ta go off wandering, that big war and all goin on. I figure there's many a better place to find oneself than on a battlefield, comforting battlefield widows, for example, so I stayed clear a that mess, well, clear as any person walkin the face o'Khorvaire could at least. Course, I comforted a few soldiers to, seems the armies were even takin women folk. It'd be wrong not ta give them any comforting they might be needin as well, ya know? 'Course, there was a few less than savory times there abouts to, but its better to remember the good times, and forget the bad ones, right? You know I'm right. But no need to worry my boy, I'm not here to steal your women, though a few of 'em certainly are worth stealin, I'm just a passing through, heading off to my next adventure. " Mechanical Information: A student wilder, probably trying to gish it up a bit early on and moving over to manifesting more and more in later levels. Not planning on anything but wilder levels. Name: Juniper Tali'Itziar
Age: 31 Gender: Female Race: Halfling (Khorvairan) Alignment: Neutral Good Class: Crypt Breaker Alchemist Personality: Although Juniper may be pretty she has never really used this to her advantage, her self confidence amongst other people is nothing compared to how she feels exploring the darker more dangerous parts of the world. When trying to express a point she of stammers and stumbles over her words, speaks in a mumble and often backs down when confronted. On top of her alchemical training she also inherited her fathers tendency to obsess occasionally to her detriment. One thing which she didn't get from her father were her obsessions of exploring forgotten dungeons. That comes instead from a longing she has somewhere deep down to find out as much as she can about the past. History: Born in Sharn, Juniper never really knew her mother. Her father had always been pretty vague on the subject, but Juniper had learned, was that her mother contracted a progressive disease after her birth. She died when Juniper, their only child, was just over two years old. The money that was spent on treatments had all but ruined the family, so her father threw himself back into his work. He was an alchemist, mostly of the classic variety. He would sit in his lab day and night mixing his chemicals for tindertwigs and liquid ice, supplying a few low tier shops in Sharn with his regular deliveries. Working away the debts that had built up and in a way working away the pain of his wife's death meant that Juniper practically never saw her father outside of the lab. A child left to her own mischief growing up in Sharn, especially on the lower levels could have been quite dangerous. She was often mistaken for a war-orphan or an urchin and had she not a warm bed to sleep in at night things may have turned out very different for her. Though as things stood she picked up the usual street skills without getting caught up in the gang wars going on down there. The lack of a mother in her life, perhaps effected her even more than she will ever realise. It was always her parents plan that her mother, whom was always the more social of the two should teach Juniper the societal paths of life. Things like Halfling traditions and hospitality, social graces and storytelling were never really passed along to the girl. Her late teens were Juniper's making years. The war effort was in it's prime and by this time she had explored most of the reachable areas of the cogs. Her knowledge of the unseen level of Sharn was getting her guide jobs with the house Cannith technicians as a guide. The house unboubtably noticed her talents, not only as a guide but as an independant crafter and when a spot opened up on one of thier exploritory expeditions she was drafted. Juniper was whisked away, via airship, to the city of stormreach. Where she joined a team assembled to finding ancient warforged artifacts in order to accelerate Cannith's own research. She fortunatly both avoided being drafted by the Brellish military and a large portion of the war in this way. Her return to Khorvaire, since the war was a tearful one. In her absence her father had come to truly realise how much he relied on her. She has since been turning down most job offers that remove her from home for more than a week. Instead she has been working again in her father's lab, making up for the years that she spent on another continent. |

I don't know much about Eberron, but I love me some pathfinder.
Name: Evan Barcus Age: 20 Race: Halfling Class: Fighter, Archer Archetype Bio: Evan never had a father. He never had a mother, either. What Evan had was a brother: Brucie, the best big brother a boy could ever ask for. He grew up by Brucie's feet - quite literally most of the time, for Brucie towered over the halfling boy. They had to stick together to survive the war, and they made a good team. Evan's sharp wit and cleverness, combined with Brucie's prowess in combat, was usually enough to get through anything. Evan was envious towards the boy he called brother, though. He was tall, attractive, and most of all strong, and when he wielded a blade he danced like the wind. Evan, meanwhile, spent most of his time running and hiding. He begged Brucie to train him, to help him grow strong like Brucie, but the elder boy knew that Evan would never be able to match him in combat. So instead, he trained Evan with the bow. The bow made use of Evan's keen eye far better than a blade could have, and at the same time gave his arms exercise to grow stronger. He was often able to give his brother backup so that they could escape to safety. And by the end of the war, and by the time the boy grew into a young man, he became a warrior in his own right. These days, Evan works as a bow for hire, sometimes on escort duty, sometimes as a night watchman. He tends to work late hours as a result. Personality: Immature for his age, Evan is often the joker of the group. He has a soft spot for women, and tends to stutter around them. In combat, he hangs back, providing support and staying focused. Appearance: Evan is still quite young, and it shows in his appearance. He has short, wavy blond hair and hazel eyes, and his boyish face is already marked with one or two scars - one on his chin from a knife-fight, and one on his jawbone from a dying soldier's blade. Evan wears a chain shirt to protect himself should any enemy get too close. On his back is his trusty shortbow, which he has affectionately named Tamara, and a satchel of arrows accompanying it. In addition, he wears a small shortsword on his hip - almost a dagger by human standards. He hasn't named it... yet. Last edited by Gunslinger 19; Dec 24th, 2011 at 03:36 AM. |
