So I am working under the assumption that 1 flask of oil can be used per smoke bomb, but I wanted to clear it with you before I made my post.
Also is the furniture in the Hanging Herald made of wood? Sorry it took me this long to get a post up. Jerusalem was hit by the worst winter storm in 20 years and I was out of power all night (which sucked something royal). But we did get 50 cm of snow over the last 3 days, which is pretty crazy out here. Cairo had it's first snowfall in 112 years, which is nuts. And check this out! A Pic from Har Hatzofim. |

You think that's cool, Cairo got snow for the first time in 112 years (reportedly). The result was this!
Edit: Poked around a bit. (Seemed like too much snow to be real) Turns out that it was a photoshop job, damn you photoshop fakers!! Last edited by davide15; Dec 14th, 2013 at 07:12 PM. |

Still really pretty. And the first one is awesome, but is it bad that all I can think of is Assassin's Creed Revelations? I know it's not the same area but I'll be damned if the architecture isn't reminiscent. As an aside, I have been barred by my family from every visiting Italy due to my irresistible urge to climb all the walls....
And one flask and one piece of firewood per smoke bomb sounds good to me. |

It's called Lifta, and it is an abandoned village right next to the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem. You can climb to your hearts content on these ones. Just watch your step. Also, sometimes some of the houses are occupied. The best way to know which buildings to avoid is the ones that have temporary chicken coops set up. |

So, bit of a timeline of how things would go in this plan for clarity's sake.
|-| = ten seconds |-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-| 1 2 3 1.Alethea signals a 'go' 2.The fuses meet and light the bombs 3.Maximum time before smoke clears That's about 160 seconds from signal to smoke clearing - two minutes, forty seconds - and that's assuming there are at least forty seconds between the fuses being lit and the smoke igniting. Take that as you will in-character, though ColdBones if you feel you want to edit your last post feel free. |

davide15: Well done my friend, you're playing that orc great (yeah, perhaps frighteningly-so)! I really like the RP between the orc and the dwarf. I don't get this kind of RP in my tabletop games; I guess that's the advantage of pbp wherein we can put some work into every interaction. Really enjoying the game so far (before I roll a 1 later for stealthing the compound, at least lol).

Edit: I'm enjoying Maz and Dekor's antagonism as well. I think there are several reasons for the increased animosity between our characters. One is the time we have to think about each post. Another is that we are very far from one another, so there isn't so much personal animosity between players on the line. The last is that dwarves and orcs should be at each others throats, that's part of the natural interaction! Last edited by davide15; Dec 16th, 2013 at 11:52 AM. |

Ha, no one ever said Dekor was a mathamigician! I figured that the plan would unfold as:
Althea has a look around for a minute or so, sneaking into the building will take a bit of time as well (I figured the timeline would get sorted more thoroughly when we got there as saw what, if any, guards there are outside). Then some time mucking about getting the bombs in place, so another minute or so, then she lights them and I'm assuming comes back out of the hideout, then we kill the muckrunners running out the door and by the time that's all done, we go into a relatively smoke free building, since the smoke will affect us just like the others if we are fighting in the thick of it. However, no one ever called Dekor a great communicator either, so, I'm going to leave it and play through it. If she doesn't make it out Dekor would run on the assumption that she found somewhere to hide, since that's probably what he'd do. re: animosity - agreed - Dekor seems particularly aggressive towards orcs. I don't have a great reason for it, and his dad surely wouldn't encourage it, being the captain of the guard he would probably be more inclined to tolerance. Just the way he seemed to develop, to me anyway. I think part of it is that he's a true neutral, a true pragmatist and doesn't really like extremes on either side of the spectrum. Or maybe more that he doesn't truly understand it. |

An advantage of playing PbP is that it's easier to write that your character says something mean rather than having to say it to someone's face. There's more of a disconnect, which helps everyone remember that we're playing characters here, not ourselves. This is the first time I've allowed an Evil into a party of Neutrals/Goods, and it's turning out pretty entertainingly. The 'common goal' ideal should begin to grow once we're past this little mission as well, and I'm sure there will be opportunities for everyone to save each others' lives at some point. I look forward to the character development possibilities.
