As a reminder, I most likely won't have time to post again until Friday. See you when I get back, save some Goliaths for me ! |

I'm just gonna say this out loud: If scoring multiple critical hits doesn't kill any of the enemy, this is a fight we cannot win.

Is there a way for Eaggal to get his two opponents closer together so that Ekaitza can blast two at a time? We are playing ping pong with these goliaths and right now they are just one square too far apart.
Or, if you plan on use booming blade on one, I can hit that one with lightening, pushing him so that he has to move to attack and trigger the Boom. Just let me know if you want a call lightening blast in any particular point too. Last edited by cappucina; Nov 18th, 2024 at 05:24 PM. |

He can disengage and move back next to his cousin. Bonus action attempt to Telekinetic push one in line with the other.
Bonus action sanctuary and then dodge action. Attack both. Ba. Sanctuary. Attack one with booming blade. Ba Sanctuary Mirror image. Vortex. Many options

Totally up to you. If you push them together I’ll hit them both. If not I’ll just use one toward the ledge. Time to push them off the ledge!
Edited, if you do disengage and move back toward me, that will draw them closer to cliff edge naturally. Then we start the magic shoving? Send them on their way? Last edited by cappucina; Nov 19th, 2024 at 09:21 AM. |

Honestly, if that doesn't take out at least one of the Goliath's then we are screwed.

Say the goliath 5 moves directly to Ekaitza's north, comes straight down at her to stand at N17, well her call lightening would hit at M16, knocking him diagonally toward the cliff using thunderbolt strike. Say he then comes at her again on that side with a little more movement, to be at P18, then her "Wrath" rebuke would send him back toward cliff again 10 feet if he hits her, leaving him pretty close to cliff edge or maybe sending him off it this round. I think this is why Eaggal made the sacrifice of an action. Because we might be able to pull this stuff off. Again choosing to push with the thunderbolt strike when there is an opportunity to push an opponent cliffside. If this does not happen as anticipated big bummer! It seems like a decent possibility, like really where I would move if I was attacking Ekaitza or Eaggal. The trigger again is any Goliath reaching N, then get ‘em shove em from behind on diagonal with the call lightening. Hope that makes sense.
This might not be exactly what happens, but it has pretty good potential! However, I want to keep options open that I do not forsee, so the actual trigger is if either of the goliaths 5 or 6 stepts into row N, she will put that attack behind them to push them east. This way if they break toward Uthal and Galmath or Eaggals west flank I can still get a bolt off at the very least and push them east, hoping to set up pushes in future rounds. Galmath just had a great round. Also he is at 47 hit points, but for a barbarian that is more like 94 right? You have damage resistance with this build? Sorry, I assumed but I want to check. What's impressive about this combat is that Galmath has rolled a critical hit in each of the 3 rounds we've been in for. 3 natural 20s! Which is why I'm being pretty vocal about being hosed if one of the enemy doesn't die this round. That Goliath has taken 3 critical hits and a fireball; if that doesn't kill it, nothing will. And even if it does, I still don't think this is a fight we can win. If it takes that much to drop one of them, how much more can we possibly withstand before they end up killing us? |

I might drop Aid upcast on you three next round if things really look bad. But Eaggal has ways to try to move opponents too, we should be able to shove these guys off cliff and then come help. I really am anticipating that the goliaths that are crippled and bloodied will go down and if not, then yes terrifying!

@Cappucina, can I get a damage roll for that call lightning?
And a roll for Wrath of the Storm damage too, actually.

Apologies for the delay! I am back from the certification course. It was slightly more educational than I'd guessed, but still pretty exhausting (getting up at 5:30 and not getting home until 19:00). Glad to be done with it, and get back to what's important- smiting Goliaths in the snow!
