[D&D-5e-2024] In the Shadow of the Dragon

My first game.. I took everyone that applied and had 4 groups. They were playing through the same storyline, but eventually due to attrition, it reduced to two groups and eventually one. I had another game that ran 3 full groups, all in different parts of the map working towards a common goal.

I won’t do that again, but between that, running NPSGs, running Outplay for many years, and City of endless Arenas for a very long time, I know my way around wrangling lots of players. I have to consider if I am up for runnning

Well, I hope you can know if you a ready up for that challenge but I prefer that you run one group than running two and ending up being burnt out. So, choose you health first please!

I'd love to be in this game but I'd rather not get picked and have the game still running 2 years from now than have you burn out and shut it down because you overextended. If you can do two group, maybe two small groups of 4 that can be combined if people drop out, that's great. If you think it will be a strain, play the safe course.

Completely agree. I like your idea.

By the way, You asked if a character would like to be Charm's guardian. If we get picked and end in the same group you bet Thomas will gladly take that role. He has a bunch of orphan he takes care of with the monetary support of Lady Elara Stonehollow or how he call her, Madam Elara. Ironically, he had to stood up between her and some Eryndor's orphans that hold a grudge against Ardenia. Those orphan although they respect Thomas, cannot accept how he fraternize with the enemy of Eryndor being Thomas a citizen of Eryndor that was also victim of Ardelia struggles for power. Yet, Thomas see this struggle with the eyes of the world like a big family, so he cannot fathom himself to hate anyone.

In the end, this was really tough because there were some characters I wanted to see in the game and some players I wanted to game with. In the end, I am going to take one group of 5. I 'might' take on another group a month or two down the road when things have settled in, if I think it would make sense to do so.

Oh, a 5e '24 game and I'm just seeing it! Phooey! That said, it looks like you have a great group there Bhelogan and there was some great applications here!

BTW, I agree with the sentiments here, don't burn yourself out. We need you here at RPGX.
