"Well if I remember her words correctly she said 'Do not throw the first punch' and that I think we can manage. I myself prefer discussion over violence in almost every situation." he gestures at himself with his quarterstaff.
"But being prepared for the worst is always a wise choice, don't you agree? And to be completely upfront with you, I have no doubt this will turn a bit ugly at some point." Gesturing behind him vaguely at where they left the others "But a disguised infiltration is a good idea also, you should suggest it when we all meet at dusk." Standing up, Jules bows awkwardly towards the Lady, then walks outside after storing much of the food away for later use inside his cloak. He steps outside and flips the hood up, walking through the streets subdued and calm, keeping his thoughts to himself and planning for the meeting sunset.

A soft sigh escapes Hubris' lips as he settles into a soft chair, raising his hand to get the attention of a waitress he orders a drink for himself and Kevot and then gazes at her form as she walks away. "Well Kevot I think that went well, now we simply wait for the others to arrive." Last edited by Redoak; Dec 23rd, 2009 at 03:08 AM. |

The old man looks at you in disbelief, but lets you go and counts the money just paid to him. Meanwhile Hubris and Kevot spend a couple of hours at the Ticklish Ogre, and dusk quickly approaches. When the time comes, the group assembles a little way away from pier five, the sun just starting to set. Hubris and Kevot explain that they managed to procure a small rowboat, just big enough for the five (six with Toki) of them to fit in. From here you can just see the Blue Nixie's silhouette, and all seems quite, barring a pair of men standing about. However with the current light, you would easily be spotted if you tried to approach from any angle, perhaps you should wait a little while for darkness to fall if you want to sneak aboard...

Herb turns his nose up at the sound of a rowboat "Great, ya'll got a boat, any o' you actually know how to use it? I bet I'm going to 'ave to do all the work right?" He thinks for a moment, "we are going to need sum nets o' something to cover you so i look alone."
"On one condition!" Herb blurts out. "I get 10 minutes to get the ring myself, I could have us home by midnight" Herb smiles slyly.

Looking to the rest of the group Hubris shrugs his tacit approval regarding Herbs need to prove himself alone. "It won't bother me if you try, I can only speak for myself though." Last edited by Redoak; Dec 23rd, 2009 at 03:53 AM. |

"Do what needs to be done.. Though youll need to aquire the nets, as i've no spending money of which to call my own.." With this Kevot looks back over his shoulder at the large wardog sitting obediently behind his master, turning to say something in a quick, flowing tongue filled with what sounds like snippets of birdsong , "You'll stay at the docks tonight, Toki.. A boat is no place for a Wardog.."

With some time to kill Hubris walks over to a corner table that is quiet. Letting his companions chat among themselves about nets and strategy. Pulling out his calligraphy set and a parchment scroll, he places them on the table in front of him. He then removes a thick leather bound book with a large iron hasp lock circling it. Unlocking it quickly and with his robe covering the act from anyone curious about how he unlocked it, he turns to a front page and begins scribing onto the parchment.

Jules studies the water. "Don't any of you numbskulls know how ta swim? Swim over, climb up the side of the boat, and aunts your brother, we're there. The way you're all talkin I almost think its was hard or something."

"I cannot speak for Boar, but on that point I prefer to take a boat and not risk damaging my attire or my equipment." clearly the wizards robes and various items are not suited to a moonlight swim. Making himself understood he puts his head back down and continues scribing on parchment until dusk.
