A red bolt of energy shoot's out of his fingers and zips at the creature, the head of a lion forms in the energy as it is about to strike the creature and roars silently as it strikes the armor like skin of the beast. Seeing that the creature can be injured, and thus killed he shouts. "Don't hold back kill it quickly it's just an angry beast!" Last edited by Redoak; Jan 4th, 2010 at 08:25 AM. |

Everyone held their breath as the beast reared up again, spiked limbs rushing towards Boar. An arrow from Kevot, a defensive swing from Boar, a well placed thrust from the female smuggler, and a spell that looked far more dangerous than most magic missiles and a scream from the rhagodessa. It fell to the floor, green ichor seeping from a pair of new wounds, but the barbarian was untouched.
However as Hubris cast his spell, the smuggler behind him took the chance to run, and you can hear a splash from somewhere outside the ship. The female smuggler is stuck between the main group and Boar, and looks around cautiously. |

"Surrender and we will not hurt you, if you co-operate and tell us what we need to know I will put in a good word for you with the Guard." the nobleman offers her an olive branch, to much bloodshed making him morally ill.

The smuggler doesn't even turn to face Hubris as he talks, she stares at Boar the entire time...watching him...looking at the blood running down his chest, the way he favours one arm. A small smirk appears on her face, seen only by Boar. "Soller was my boyfriend." is the only words she says, before lunging at the dwarf, getting past his guard and pushing her blade deep into his chest. With a grunt, she with pulls the blade out and makes to flee. (6 damage)

"Then I've an arrow for you aswell, girl.." Quickly with a practiced motion, Kevot brings up his bow and draws back powerfully, the sound of wood creaking and sinews tensing filling the air before a quick whistle in the air as he sends a white-fletched arrow for the smugglers chest.

An arrow from Kevot, and a spell from Hubris see the female smuggler crash down to the floor, her blood mixing with that of Boar. Strangley however the barbarian is still standing, just looking at the wound in his belly, a scowl on his face. Then the rage leaves his body, and no longer is it pushed past normal physical limits and he too crashes to the floor. Luckily Jules has a spell on hand to stop him bleeding to death, but now you have to deal with an unconscious dwarf, who probably weighs more in metal than flesh. Meanwhile elsewhere on the ship, young Herb is probably stuffing his pockets!

Boar grunts as he wavers and falls to one knee. Should've... been quicker... He loses grip of his weapon, hundreds of pounds of dwarf and metal collapsing onto the ship's deck, his last sentence almost entirely muffled by weakness and the clang of armor. "-ring."

So. Now what? I might be able to save one of the smugglers if we want to question one of them...Otherwise my questions will go unanswered." Jules looks down at the girl who stabbed Boar, bleeding out onto the floor. "Decide now, she might be dead already."

"We may need to question her, as no one is left. The others fled! And I feel she must suffer for these crimes as the law demands." the nobleborn wizard shouts at the inane question.
"I am sure the Lady Vanderboren will want as many alive as we can manage." as he shuffles over to Boar's unconscious form, picking his way through blood and ichor. He kneels down and rip's off a large portion of his finely crafted tunic. Cutting it into strips he tries to ensure that Boars wounds will not reopen. |
