A quick turn of the head and Amalia took a glimpse on how that game went on. She wasn't too sure, but she never heard Perlor being a God of games. But it sure seemed that way.
Her eyes went back to the barkeep. "Right. Of course, you wouldn't peek into letters for your patrons. What was I thinking", she sounded almost disappointed. "I'll go upstairs then, see for myself. And after I come back, I'll take another glas of that wine, she added in reply to his question. |

Jon responds back to Amalia. "Aye miss. And the wine will be waiting for you, when you come back." He then goes back to caring for the other patrons that are left in The Dragon's Eye once again.

"Very well played sir," Alec said as Decarde showed his royal flush to Alec's own pair of Jacks, a ten and two sixes. "I'm glad you didn't make this a betting game. Yet if you want to play again, I'd be happy to go a few more rounds, as your game play was without cheating. Honestly, I was a bit surprised about that, but you are a paladin after all. Are you allowed to use deceit in a card game?" the ranger laughed to himself as he gave the cards back to Decarde.
His focus shifted towards the envelope, which he opened immediately and read it's contents to himself.

Decarde nods, deciding that Alec was indeed trustowrthy "Actually, yes. So long it is not for stakes, we can cheat as we please. Not that I do, of course. Takes the fun out of all of it, yknow? Anyways, you might want to get your clothes checked. My cat only gets wary for two reasons: A. Said person is untrustworthy, or B. They smell like a dog." He shrugs "Well, not my problem if you've been near dogs, but cats dont like that kind of thing, yknow?"

Amalia hurried to her room, getting that letter and read it as she walked slowly back to the others.

"Well that was a fascinating game. Sorry gentlemen but I must excuse myself to my room. It was nice meeting you and thank you for the drink, I have a feeling I'll be returning the favor rather soon." With that Letus take a bit of a bow and turns away. He heads up to his room to possibly trance, or sleep, he has not yet decided.

Alec's head jerked up at the mention of smelling like a dog, and he took note of the cat perched on the paladin's shoulders. "Yes, tell your cat I'm grateful that it thinks I need a bath," he replied, hoping the injected humor would be received as just that.
He turned back to the envelope and continued reading it.

Curious. I wasn't expecting a letter. Letus picks up the envelope, sits on his bed, assumes the lotus position, and reads the letter while preparing for a trance.

Amalia came back into the main room of the tavern, excited that -finally- something intersting to do would show up. She was pondering about the question, how that person knew about her and where she stayed, but that was not so important to her.
Back at Jon she gratefully took her wine and headed back to the others, who had finished their game - at least she hoped, they'd finished. |

Decarde lets his cards fall to the table, raising a eyebrow as Amalia approaches "Well now, somebody looks happy. What happened?" Clearly, the woman was excited.

Finished with the letter, Alec committed it to memory. This will be very interesting, he mused to himself. especially since I didn't tell him I was in town yet. Mages do have they're peculiar ways for knowing these things though. I guess all there is to do now is to wait out the time here. Seems like a fairly easy job, but I do need to be careful. The last time I let my guard down it cost my father his life. "Well," Alec muttered under his breath, "That won't happen this time."
Alec then heared Decarde ask Amalia about her uplifted mood. Though Alec wanted to go out hunting to hone his skills before the upcoming mission, he was now curious of the girl's smile as well. He decided to wait until he heard what was so wonderful before he headed out into the woods.

"What? Oh yes. It seems the days of sitting here and watching harbormen get drunk will finally come to an end."
She looked at the others, the letters before them or in their hands and then back in their eyes. "I guess you have received simillar invitations. If someone looks for so many helpful hands .. an so special ones, I might add, and even goes through all the trouble to find those helpful hands - I for one don't know that Silvermoon person and I wonder how he knew about me - well, someone like that will surely have something interesting to do for us, no?" |
