Well if you take a look at her profile, she's been gone since the 10th of December. The note in her sig also implies some holiday volatility and I imagine there might be rocky shores ahead if her college semester is starting about now. Still it seems she would have dropped in to inform us things are getting crazy by now.

Barring her return or someone having known her outside of DnDOG we're probably gonna have total radio silence (which as you said seems to happen a lot to games here and PbP in general).

I just spoke with her on Friday. It was hard to get a lot of information out of her between the prolific protestations of her love. Or maybe they were threats. It's hard to tell with her.

Anyway, her reasons for being out of pocket were quite legitimate, and she is coming back and will begin to pick up the things she started. However, to prepare yourself, it's possible that the PFS games will be consolidated or possibly just stopped.

I don't want to speak for her, so this is just MadSatyr talking, but one of the downsides of PFS games is that you can't replace players. So if players drop out, as they inevitably do in a PbP format, then either the party has to continue shorthanded or the DM has to take those characters over, and when you've got a few games going and two or three people disappearing... well, you get the idea.

So, to sum up:

GOOD NEWS - Tanuki is coming back soon and will start her stuff up again.

BAD NEWS - Some or all of the PFS games might not be continued.

But we'll see what she feels like doing when she gets back.

It's good to hear she's OK. The same concern had popped into my mind with regards to the PFS what-nots and, while disappointing, I understand completely. Without a truly dedicated crew it's difficult to pull off.

Just a shame all my current games seem to have puttered off and there's no Pathfinder games in the recruiting forum either. Probably for the better since I just had the ranks of my normal group swell by three and that's been taking up a lot of my time anyway.

Thanks for the update, MadSatyr. Consolidation should be interesting, to say the least, but I'm up for it if it means getting the ball rolling. I look forward to the return of Tanuki.

Just an FYI for everyone. I'm officially done. It's been more than a month since MadSatyr's update that Tanuki would be consolidating adventures and getting started again. It's been nearly 3 months since any meaningful roleplaying has occurred. All this time with little or no communication from Tanuki!

I assume that most of the players have already checked out and probably won't even see this note, but just in case someone stops in for nostalgia's sake, this post will greet them.

I've still got this thread subscribed but it probably is safe to say it's dead on the table. Even if Tanuki were to show back up, I imagine the player turnover rate would make organized play a nightmare.

Well poo. I was giddy when I saw the PFS stuff on the board here. I started transfering my characters over to the web profiler. Poo. I would offer to DM a game, I am currently running Shipyard Rats for my local gang, but I am new to PbP and would not feel comfortable doing it. I hope someone else picks up the torch later. I'll be waiting.

Yeh, it is a shame. I really like the PFS stuff as well. I'm around to play if anyone wants to pick up DMing (I am already running two games on the site, so I can't take another).

This was my first time checking PFS out, so I don't really know it. Sadly, it didn't last very long.

Well as this is a living game if there is anyone that is familiar with the Pathfinder Society Organized Play then (and have the modules) someone else should be able to pick up where Tanuki left off.

If we find one I can find an Admin to change the DM permissions of this game to add them. This campaign was set up to have people come and go into different mod's with different groups and I believe Tanuki would have wanted multiple DM's too..

Hmmm... I'm new here, and was looking for a place I could just jump in with both feet. PFS seems like the easiest way, but reading the last couple pages made me sad.

Is there much chance of this getting back started? I'd be happy to lend my (severely limited) experience.

Er...hello? I was vaguely-tentatively-maybe thinking of trying to find a pbp-PFS, and so I ran a quick search and found...this place. Spooky. I like the notion of an organic system, maybe trading off DMship with different scenarios. I'm not familiar with all of the PFS whatnots, but it shouldn't be too difficult to pick up. If anyone's still here, I wouldn't mind tossing some ideas about...otherwise, I'll post an interest check somewhere soon.
