Most frustrating moment i loved as a DM.
And then, it was my players turns... Ranged attacks with excellent rolls taking out all the fodder with ease. Far too much ease. So i had to adjust, and throw in a high CR monster to bring the fear of the Gods to my players. Freaking creed (PoTM July winner creed) goes and does a strength check, with a near perfect roll, and pushes my monster OFF THE DAMN BRIDGE! No fight, just YEET bye! I was in complete shock. I had not expected that at all. Hell, just thinking on it right now, i feel like laughing, because it was just so damn awesome. It's got to be my most memorable moment as a DM on rpgx. Just pushes the damn thing off... Really? Geez... Well played my friend.

There was a guy I played with off and on for a number of years who was just obsessed with making this happen. If there was a way to build around bull rush, shove, reposition, or whatever other forced movement was on the menu for the day, he was your huckleberry.
The only specific encounter that I remember clearly was from our brief foray into D&D 4E, where his spear-toting minotaur tossed most of a room full of goblins one at a time into the room's gigantic 10'-wide forge. I don't know if our DM for that game was amused, but the player sure was. |
