Giraffe, as Atalla so helpfully supplied, only material in the site's SRD is good. This is across all the brackets which have SRDs, in fact, we're only using the free materials allowed. If there is question about more than one SRD for that system, we have specified which. (Thus, the 3.5e SRD on rpgcrossing, regardless of its limits, is your sum total of material.)

well, the poll the other week was the first I've heard of Outplay, so I thought I'd send in an app - fingers crossed and good luck everyone, looking forward to this!

Just popping by to wish everyone a great competition. I was outplayed by my wife and the little one in her tummy, so no Outplay for me. Not as a player, nor as a judge (I will be watching, and likely commenting, from the sidelines though, so I'm not completely out. I'm just not competing).

So enjoy yourselves. Outplay has always been tremendous fun and a place for people to strut their stuff and show what they can do if they just put a bit of effort into it. I'm looking forward to seeing what all of you can make of it

Q&A Updates! Secret Text: You can secret your application to yourself or to Aethera (or even to a random string of text), either will work. Don't include the judges! 3.5e - Unearthed Arcana: Fair game. (Yes, in the SRD it is labeled "not in the SRD", but this is out of date. Your DM says it's allowed.) 5e - Villainous class options (DMG p. 96): Yes, they are fine to use.

If you've asked a question and I haven't gotten a response back to you yet, don't fret! Your GM is probably chewing on the answer. I'll be sure to update you by PM and everyone in here and in the Rules thread once I have the reply.

If you have specific requests for your GM to rule on, send me a PM and I'll pass it along. That way they don't necessarily know who asked each question, and we preserve the anonymity of the applications round. For the moment, I have not seen so many PMs that I cannot play operator.

A note for 13th Age players using our new 13th Age sheets:

Please record the following information in your notes section:
relationship checkboxes and degree (to be replaced with a single field where you can write whatever you want)
weapon info (melee and ranged) (to be replaced with fields where you can write whatever you want; also, optionally more of them)

These parts of the site's sheets are being redone and information previously entered will not show up on your sheets.
