Come on, 3.5e! I refuse to stop doing Outplays until I win one unless real life gets in the way, and I accept the possibility that I might lose - but if I lose this year simply because I didn't make enough apps that would be super-lame. :P

Glee -- you should work up a char sheet for Pathfinder in case 3.5 doesn't move forward. Hound -- you should complete one for 3.5E.
You can keep the same application, just create a new char sheet.

So, I'm considering adding an application for 13th age because I think that the fun part of Outplay is how many people can participate. That said I don't want to immediately throw away my application on an unfamiliar system, thoughts? Mostly, how much does the setting of 13th age impact the character and how much reading would I need to do to familiarize myself with it?

My understanding of 13th Age is that it's very focused on storytelling and leveraging the uniqueness of your character and that it shies a bit away from the mechanics. Honestly you could probably familiarise yourself with the system in a day.

There's no setting details that are going to throw you off, Brainfist, as we're using the default setting simply because most people know parts of it. Everything you will be doing in-game will be created specifically for this contest, setting details included. 13th Age is fairly straightforward, most of it is in the writing. If you want to try it, go for it.

Reminder, two days until we need completed applications. Right now:
13th age has four applications that appear to be complete, and four that are absolutely not complete. Which means 13th age needs 4 more players with complete applications in the next two days or it will not run.

3.5e has six applications that appear to be complete, and two that are absolutely not complete. Which means 3.5e needs 2 more players with complete applications in the next two days or it will not run.

Pathfinder and 5e appear to have plenty of applicants.
