Pathfinder - Hero Points: Hero points are allowed, but the system is OFF by default. However, if you take the Hero's Fortune feat, it is turned on for your character (which means you will have two hero points). Characters without the Hero's Fortune feat do not have access to hero points

Alright, first pass of the day, which is also reflected in the opening post of the app threads. I've even included secret text here for anyone that is still incomplete (if you don't see anything beyond the basic numbers, your app appears complete at a glance). That doesn't mean I've checked or judged anything, just that you have all the pieces you would need.

13th Age has six complete and three incomplete apps.

3.5e has four complete and four incomplete apps, with two secondary apps (one of which is a 13th Ager's backup).

Notes for everyone present:
Please make triply sure that I have your character sheet linked into the Outplay 2016 campaign ID 433, and that it is clearly linked from your application post! I've accepted all the sheets which requested to join the campaign ID, but I haven't had a chance to check if I have one from everyone. (I think 3.5e will have six complete apps as soon as a couple of people provide a link to their character sheet.)

If your secret text includes the GM and judges, you're wrecking our attempt at anonymous judging. I've caught at least one already, but I'm not the one who should be worrying about it.

If you please. You can also secret it to just yourself, that works too (I'm the forum administrative DM, so I can see all secret text, period). A couple people secreted it to "Shh" or "GM" and that works just as well. I'm just trying to do everything I can to keep it anonymous. There's going to be a big learning curve on making anonymity better next year (if we decide to continue it), but I'm trying to do the best I can in the time we've got.

I expect I'll post a feedback thread for y'all once I've got the judges up and running Sunday/Monday night, so you can react to the process I tried out.

EDIT: Atalla, I just saw your avatar and user title. I hope you and yours are safe. The same goes to anyone else with wildfire or flood troubles.

Your attention, please!
Due to not fully thinking through the issue before someone drew my attention to it, I am now changing the requirement that you link your character sheet to the campaign ID. As useful as it would have been, it also would have broken the anonymity of many characters. So you've all been booted out of the campaign and it has been closed.

Chocoladevla gets major brownie points with me for helping me not make a fool of myself.

I'd suggest starting a list of anonymizing features that would be useful - such as optional anonymous character sheets and campaign subscription, so that a list can be submitted to Birched at the end of Outplay. This will give the better part of a year to figure out a way to integrate this kind of thing into the site.

I think it can be managed without asking Birched for totally new features, ronin, it's just taking some trial and error in order for me to find out what the pitfalls are. I will consider anything that I can't work around, though, and maybe discuss those things with him. Thanks.

On a more serious note. i do hope you get that app in. each chance for a system (other than pathfinder) to get in is much needed.
