Rebuilding Draminton
*New recruits will be added to the list of personell as soon as they are approved by the individual captains. Bertrude asks for Eindric to set a limit on new hires, there is a line of about 600 people who would work for the company...* |

Berty, Berty Berty. Don't think of them as mouths to feed - think of them as hands that can produce!
(I'll post a list for Berty of what to do with the folks in the other thread and yes I will meet with Charlie's man - how do you turn down a guy who brings 1 million gold? By himself no less!) |

Charlie's representative introduces himself as Tyren Idenode. He tells Eindric, in private of the meeting between the Sun God, Apollo and Rolling Charlie. Apollo had asked to borrow the Sword of Heroes from the barman. Charlie agreed on the condition that he would get it back in a timely fashion. Apollo promised that he would. Charlie appointed Tyron as his representative in the matter and as such, Apollo granted him special powers that would enable him to retrieve the Sword. "Apollo said, that if I gave you this, you would know I was not lying," Tyron pulls from his vest a steaming bowl of food. It appears to have just come out of a kitchen, but his vest is not stained of even disheveled after the interesting manuver. Tyron places before Eindric a steaming hot bowl of fresh noodles, of the long type that are hard to come by in this region. They have been tossed with a clam sauce that smells absolutely appetizing. Tyron also produces a set of fine silverware and a linen napkin. "Apollo warned that divine energies summoned in his own name would not affect me so long as I was under his guise. I now have 5 days to return Dragonslicer to Charlie's hand. If I fail, my body will be consumed in holy fires. After failing, I have twenty-four hours to slay all those who prevented me from succeeding or my soul 'will forever burn in hell', the God of Truth told me. He also said that I would be bestowed with unearthly powers of extreme might, should I be prevented in doing my job." The man seems both thrilled and terrified to be given these responsibilities and taking these risks, "I warn you not to try and thwart me, give me the Blade, so that I can leave immediately. It is a three day ride under the best conditions..."

If Eindric asks him to, or if Eindric is mentions this to Sandrel, Sandrel seeing that this man is honest (if a bit gruff), Sandrel offers him help.
A three day ride on normal steed is tough, I do know. With the word of the lord of the sun, might I enchant a steed for you, granting him the honor and power of the chariot? you will find that with the light of our lord powering him, your steed will run further and faster in a single day than you could possibly imagine. You will be able to cover more than 2/3 of that journey within 8 hours. Of course, the light of the chariot will so give him peace, that he will not wish to fight, though he may bring you into combat, if you so wish. |

Rumours around the rebuilding city abound about the dragons that live in the steel caves to the north and east of town. The people are saying that the dragons hide from Eindric and the Sword of Heroes and that Eindric will again ride into the caves and rid them forever of the threat of dragons.

*this happens After Eindric's decision*
Sandrel in the evening kneels to pray before Apollo. Lord, you have given me great guidance upon the way, upon our travels, and we find ourselves not at a crossroads but at a time of decision of planning. Should we travel into the caves where the other beasts have gone, what dangers must we be most aware of, will you not guide me further? Burning some fine Arrows in a symbol of penance, Sandrel casts Divination, which will give me an answer to my question. I have a 80% chance to get an accurate answer... of course things may effect that, and how cryptic it may be is entirely up to the DM, its up to me to figure it out.... It does come from either Apollo or an agent thereof, in case that matters* |

Ein looks with suspicion on this man despite the linguini. Alright. Let us speak with Apollo then, you see there are more Dragons and I think Apollo would want the job finnished. I am sure that my friend Charlie will understand. Eindric says amiably.
He summons Sandrel and Teny then. He walks with the man a bit (using his staff as a walking stick) until they are in a central location, near some backup and in a clearing if possible. Of course the man may ask that we can speak with Apollo so easily and I reply, of course we can. He is my friend. Assuming there is no Initiative roll before then, as soon as Sandrel and Teny arrive, Ein blows his security whistle casts Shield on himself with the staff, draws his luckblade pointing it at the agent and takes a defensive stance within striking distance of the man who claims the protection of Apollo. Ein will also shout for Sandrel to Put Apollo's hottest fire to this cut-throat, blasphemer, and Teny, bind his feet in roots before he flees! |

As soon as Eindric starts to summon his shield, a rippling affect in the very air spreads out from around Tyren. Eindric feels his power being sapped by the effect even as he calls to his friends. The area is suddenly silent and Eindric finds his voice makes no sound, nor can hear anything else. Magical effects cease and the very time seems to standstill. Tyren, heretofore taken aback by the sudden actions smiles wanly, but then moves with grace and ease. His voice actually makes sound, and he draws his shortsword as he approaches Eindric, "ya'know there's a few men might reward me for yer head..." The man seems confused as he finds his blade unable to come any closer to Eindric, but he presses his weight against it and tries to force it. Suddenly the weapon shatters soundlessly, pieces of it flying off in every direction. He frowns and curses but he backs away. Tenyanie and Sandrel both find thier magical powers suppressed and like Eindric they feel mired in the palpable silence the permeates the area. "I gues we are all bound by the word of Apollo." Tyren practicly spits the words out in disgust, "though you don't seem like a follower of the God of Truth, bard." His words are dripping with sarcasm. "I warned you, now give me the Blade, I have a lot of distance to cover."

Sandrel steps forward, getting in between the bard and the man. He cannot speak. he knows, but can he hear the thoughts of his friend? Or is that too taken away? He draws his blade in an instant, in a defensive stance, readying a strike, if the man looks to attack either himself or move back into a spot which threatens Eindric.
Additionally, what of his rings? Does he feel Apollo as he always does, or are they blocked as well? OOC, I know i cant descrbe the map, but the following is just an example of how Sandrel would like it. It may even require pushing eindric or the man back. I dont know how far he stepped. but Sandrel obviously acted fast, and deliberate. I cannot explain my actions to anyone but Glory , and I would if I still have the link... I would summon glory... Oh, and I meant Sandrel takes a fighting defensive stance and readied an action, -3/+2ac, but he IS holding his bastard sword two handed. (it is non-magical, though it is masterwork)

The man simply smiles at Sandrel as the cleric interposes himself. Eindric and Sandrel can feel thier voices return as the sounds of the daytime world returns. "Carefull cleric," Tyren tells Sandrel, "If you manage to kill me, It will weigh the heaviest on your soul..." he says crypticly, but Sandrel can see that the man believes what he is saying. Tenyanie cautiously lowers her bow, very conscious of what happened to Tyren's weapon when he tried to attack. The beautiful young woman siddles a step closer to Eindric, her shimmering dress sparkling in the light. Teny fidgets with the brilliantly sparkling necklace that rests upon her bosum, her face a mixture of fear and pity.

questions: can sandrel speak, or hear the words of glory?
For now Sandrel holds his positiion, obviously in defense, not offense. |

Eindric is PISSED. "You want this blade?" He asks as he quick exchanges it for his staff. "Then you shall have it." He says as he thrusts Dragonslicer point first into the cunning linguist's chest.

Tyren reacts with blinding speed, his hands rising before him and actually catching the Divine Blade between his bare hands. There is an audible ringing sound, but no blood is drawn. The dragon manifests from Eindric's shield, but Tyren easily avoids it.
