Eindric reacts to Tyren's assualt on Sandrel, swinging his blade and causing his shield to project it's suddenly animated dragon's head. The bard strikes expertly, catching Tyren neatly in the gut, but the shield is unable to catch the fast-moving rogue.

*no AoO, Ein. But you had ample time to ready that action if he attacks or whatever, and he certainly did. Now roll that threat...bonuses from the song will commence at the start of Eindric's next round...*

*Init order:
Sandrel cast a flight spell (his action, or really Glory's will complete now, flying up and over 180')
Tyren attacked in response to Sandrel's spell
Tenyanie responded to Tyren's attack with a readied action to shoot him
Eindric responded to Tyren's attack with a readied action to swing on him

With the successfull hit, Ein will comment, "Apollo is blessing someone, my powerfull opponent but I daresay, it is not you."
And then he will order the troops to attack from range and begin to sing, backing up in accordance with Sandrel the Wise's advice.

Eindric's hit leaves a deep gash, but Tyren seems to barely notice it. Threguy and his men advance further, the archers firing again, the armsmen quickly switching weapons in response to Eindric's orders. They draw crossbows and load them as they advance.

Again, Tyren dodges the hail of arrows like a man dodging raindrops, his speed is astounding, the well-placed arrows coming down alwats in the spaces that his body has vacated.

You have unrestricted flight...you can also see at least two more divisions of soldiers advancing on the area, as well as a handfull of men and women riding up, including Traken, and the entertainers and soldiers of the original team, lead by Nineye and Decagui organizing a perimeter defense around the boarders of the compound farther out.*

Sandrel finds himself high up in the air, riding Glory, in moment of quandry. Were this 10 days past, the man would be given the sword. For at that time Sandrel trly believed that the word of law was most important. But things have changed, teachings from his very lord himself.

"Eindric", he calls out, "this man is protected by forces beyond us. Whether it comes from Apollo himself, or the lord of lies, I cannot say. There is much truth in his voice, for indeed our master did borrow this fine blade from a mortal, and perhaps we should have gone after the dragon caves immediately, and perhaps indeed it was time to return it. However, when I asked the light of our lord to shine upon us, the four of us, the lght ignored him. under the great light of Apollo, no false speak may be soken, and yet he was protected. Would apollo protect this man from my arrows? Perhaps? But from speaking truth? I am not convinced. And his actions speak of hatred, andger and misdeeds. I think perhaps the sword may need be returned, and we cannot expect our lord to see us personally, but I asked some time, short, to speak with him, and for this I was assaulted, but worse, he attacked the servant of our lord. Truth and peace come to our lord, but these actions are not acceptable."

(now according to the map, people have not yet fallen back to a large distance away... Sandrel gives the man one last chance. While he absolutely refuses to speak peacefully, the powers of our lord are mighty indeed, if if he is resistant.

he may be immune to the powers about, but that doesnt make them gone.

Sandrel casts Lesser Planar Ally:

"Lord Apollo, will one of your servants help guide me. this man claims to be your servant, I humbly ask for your aid"

Ein is forced to stop singing and address Sandrel the Beautifully Naive, throwing his voice into the air: "NO. Apollo told me naught of borrowing or returning. He granted us the weapon. He has seen me twice in as many months and I have done his bidding. If I am to relenquish his gift, he will tell me so without sending liars and deceivers. He has sent me messages from a distance on half a dozen occasions. I have received no message about this. This man is powerfull but his power is not of our Lord dear priest. I suspect his power derives from Loki. He Blasphemes the good name of Apollo, makes threats, tries to steal, deceives, and lies. He must be destroyed."
Ein returns to his singing to and about Tyren, even as he backs up and exchanges sword for crossbow, inspiring his men with the courage of conviction. [Bringing a new Song into effect (+2 Attack/Dmg for 5 rounds hence)]

I posted in my private thread by mistake. I think i may have to redo my action based on DM decision. I was completely wrong on the casting time of Lesser Planar ally. If he can do that in one or tworounds, he would. Otherwise ......

If I redo, then Sandrel calls down the holy fires of Apollo instead, using the ring to do a flame strike. Sandrel only does this if Eindric is 20 feet away from Tyrel.
