Journey Start!
"They'll be here soon! Just wait, they'll definitely be here soon!" The way the small woman's voice echoed in the large metallic lab just served to drive home that she and her Torkoal were currently alone in the building, even the lab assistants not due for a while yet, and that 'they' would not, in fact, be here soon. After fiddling with a few instruments that didn't really need fiddling, cleaning machines that were already sparkling, and walking around the lab several times, Alexis Dosia allowed herself a small sigh and leaned against Kurma the Torkoal. "Soon," she insisted again. In the next hour, the other people who worked in the lab showed up, going about their research and giving Dosia their attention only when she needed something specific, mostly leaving her to nervously pace around as she waited impatiently. Finally, finally, the front door opened, admitting someone other than the usual lab techs. The new trainers were here. Dosia eagerly jumped forward before the door had even opened all the way, even her small voice hard to miss as she nearly shouted her greeting. "Welcome to my lab! My name is Professor Dosia!" Her step was laced with obvious excitement, trying to keep her legs orderly the petite girl found herself doing a weird skipping-jog, slowing down every other minute when she noticed to normal human beings this was not a regular walk. It was honestly too much to expect something humble from a girl who never once left the ocean side of Dewford Town, and now was let free to explore the world to her heart’s content. There was a bit of a goofy grin forming in the corners of her mouth, pressing her cheeks in did nothing to its broad shape accompanied by the soft rays of morning light. |
