For those interested, I have completed Part 1 of how to learn magic, found here (or in the "Information" folder for those who wish to take the scenic route).

I honestly expected Victor to either be traveling the world and possibly have a small entourage of people he has helped or inspired who are following him. The other option is that he is currently in a small town that he has been helping over a period of time. Perhaps he found a nasty sickness going through the town and he stayed, determined to help as many people as possible. Even after curing the disease he could stay longer to help educate the people on how to stay healthy. (Being a healer also means helping to prevent sickness as well as to cure it.)

Whether he is stationary or traveling one thing is certain. Victor will be helping people.

My thread is feeling lonely again.

Is there something I can do to make the thread more interesting, DM? Perhaps come up with some more specific plans for you to spark ideas off?

Yeah, sorry about that. I left it a little more than half a week this time I think. Sorry particular to Eviltedzies who didn't even have a thread till today. That is now fixed.

It's a little odd, though pleasant, to have you always respond to my posts within minutes. Not used to other players being in my timezone.

Plus I have no life, so tend to spot most updates within an hour or so.

I've been working hard NOT to reply right away. I get an email alert, you see, so I know immediately when there's a new post.

Hazzah! Let the optimistic healer set out preaching love and peace to all. (Ok not thaat corny.)

Only a matter of time before he starts irritating the large reilgious groups with his beliefs of equality, fairness, and understanding.

I love the fact that our maps are made on civilization 5

did you mod for the world map or just take a random seed mystic?

built from the ground up. I wanted to use the Fall from heaven mod in Civ 4, but the graphics just mesh together a lot better in V.

Still I would have liked the chance to have orc cities for the map.

As it is, I'll probably improve on it later

As a firm proponent of the 'Hexes or Bust' school of thought, I endorse the decision to use Civ 5.

I liked the hex system for civ 5 but I still feel that 4 was more of a challenge and had a better expirience.

Nothing like playing as the Aztecs and founding Islam in your metroplolis of Kyoto

I still like Civ 5, especially with the expansions. I am still playing on Wimpy difficulties though, but I am working up to higher ones. Though I suppose Prince does count as 'normal'.
