The Command Tent
Anything and everything can be discussed here. I see it as a place for conversation between the players. Conversation can cover all sorts of things -- friendly banter, negotiating what will happen next IC, or whatever. You can tell us about your Herman's Hermits cover band if you want. This thread is open to the public. |

Hey all, looking forward to gaming with you. One pyromaniac sorceress, ready to go.

Excited for this game as well! I am also excited by the potential of new recruits later in the season!

So when do we get our private threads, Phin? I'm itching to get started on actually making Alix!

How different is this from a revival tent? I try to avoid those unless the food is particularly fantastic.

Welcome everyone!
I think all the private threads are up; let me know if there's a problem. I'm hoping we can get through character generation in the next week. As people finish their characters, I'll start up the preludes. As people read the initial documents, and get a feel for who our party is, you may wish to change some things about your character. Let's talk about it in private threads, but in general I don't see a problem with minor modifications. Wholesale changes to concept should be treated with a little caution, but nips and tucks are fine. Thanks for joining me! We're going to have a good time. |

It's nice to see you all here. I'm very much looking forward to this campaign. Let's get cracking on these characters!
Just so we can get a sense of each of us personally, let's do a round of introductions: Hey, I'm in my mid-twenties and been playing DnD since my eldest brother said "Hey, we need a fighter; do you want to play a fighter?" I said "No!" He said "I'll give you a free two-handed sword" and I said "Okay!" not at all knowing what I two-handed sword was but liking the idea of "free." I was six. Outside of that, I live in NYC and love it here. I'm a nut for music and literature and like theatre (which is what my girlfriend does for a living -- the management side). |

Nice to see everyone here too, quips aside. Glad to be here, phinar's a great DM. EXPECT GREATNESS.
I'm also a 20-something, living in Dallas and leaving in a few months due to my fiance being done with course work for her Ph.D. in Anthropology from SMU. I've been at it about 9 years now, been on DDOG for about five years, though the time I've actually been here is something closer to a year total, my current stent being my longest. Dallas is, by comparison to NYC, the worst city in the world, outside of possibly Houston. Awful places. Awful. But then, I enjoy long walks on the beach, holding hands, and drenching my greatest foes in the blood of all that they love. I do all that I can in my spare time, of which I have in massive quantity.

Looking like a good group here. I can also testify to Phinar's awesomeness.
![]() I'm in my late twenties, I work as a traveling temp in hospitals and labs all over the US, but my home base is Michigan. I am slave to a couple of cats and like gaming, reading and baking. Don't remember when I started gaming, and I'd have to look up my start date to recall how long I've been on the site. ^_^"

RAWR! LOUD NOISES!
Oh. Wait. I'm not an orc yet. Hrm. What to say. So, I'm 24 years old, living in Pittsburgh as I currently pursue a doctorate in Astrophysics. I've been roleplaying in general for over a decade now despite that (I started young!) and have taken a more recently enjoyment of Pathfinder within the last year or so. Pittsburgh recently got rated the most liveable city in the US according to the Economist, which I found a little amusing. I personally prefer snuggles, romantic nights stargazing out in the wilderness, and CRUSHING MY ENEMY BEFORE ME AND DRINKING IN THEIR LAMENT AND DESPAIR. But you know. Same old, same old. |

I'm just over 40. I'm married and have four kids, two jobs, and a ton of yard work. Fortunately, I also have about an hour and a half of commuting each day.
I develop software for a living; I live outside Boston, now, and I've lived in a few other places. Boston is probably my favorite, though it's neck in neck with my time in California. I'm pretty new to the site -- started here in December. I've been playing RPGs on and off since second grade. Most of my RPG experience is with Shadowrun but I think I can pull off compelling Pathfinder; I've played plenty of D&D and I've certainly read enough fantasy literature. |

We appear to be a match made in heaven, asura. Between the RIP and TEAR and BLOOD, I think we should formulate this alliance and bask in the skin-soothing soak that is our enemies' blood.
We could also go out for strong Dwarven ale and ice cream sometime.
